Will definitely recommend San Taxi to anyone visiting Mauritius. This was our first time to Mauritius and we were glad we decided to use San Taxi. We had booked 3 tours, North tour, South West tour, and the 5 islands speedboat. All the tours were excellent and professionally done.
We had the pleasure of having Abhishek as our driver for the first tour, and he was excellent. A very polite and well mannered person and We enjoyed his company so much they we requested that he be our driver for all our tours.
Communication with San Taxi was also excellent. We had booked the cruise for later in the week but was contacted and advised to move it earlier as the weather would be better. Am glad they did as they were right.
Again will highly recommend San Taxi, as they were always on time, very accommodating and pricing is very good for the exceptional service you get.

We can highly recommend San if you are looking for a transfer option on the island!
We booked San Tax for our transfer to and from the airport as well as for the transfer between both hotels we stayed at. San provided great service and was a very reliable driver being always on time. I booked everything via WhatsApp and since MRU airport has free WiFi we chatted already about the exact pick up location as we did collect our luggage. It was also no problem that our flight was delayed by 30min. He even brought fruit juice, water, and some wafers and greeted us with a smile and funny jokes. On our way to the hotel he explained us a lot about Mauritius and the island which was very interesting.
This very positive experience made us book him again for our transfer to our second hotel (including a stop by the supermarket), and also for our drive to the airport for our flight home.
Thank you so much San for the great experience! The friendliness and hospitality of the Mauritius people is what makes Mauritius such an awesome country to travel to!

Using San Taxis certainly enhanced our wonderful trip to Mauritius. I booked our airport transfers from the UK and was immediately impressed by the prompt and efficient replies that I received. As promised Mr San was waiting for my husband and I on arrival, immediately offering juice and biscuits which was very thoughtful. He proceeded to entertain us for the duration of the transfer with lots of historical information about the island interspersed with jokes and interesting anecdotes.
As a result of this initial positive experience we went on to book two further excursions with him, one day trip to see the south of the island and a half day trip to the north on our way back to the airport. Mr San did not disappoint on either occasion and the trips were both well organised and interesting. In addition to taking us to all the major attractions he went the extra mile in lots of different ways- driving back to our hotel along the coastal roads because he knew we wanted to see as much of the coastline as possible, jumping out and picking fruit for us, stopping off at a supermarket and finally taking us to his home to meet his father and his goats.
All in all he provided an excellent service with many wonderful memories. We would certainly recommend him and his taxi service!

This is our second visit to Mauritius and San is our go to choice. San is a real character and is a fund of (dreadful!) jokes. However, his knowledge of the island is comprehensive and he hits the right balance of time to look on your own with guiding. He is justifiably proud of his religion and we learned a huge amount about Hindu religion and culture. He has several suggested tours - all at a reasonable cost - but he is willing to modify them on request (we had asked to fill in the things we missed last time due to torrential rain). He knows some pretty good restaurants too serving authentic Mauritian food. We will certainly book San again next visit.

Mr San picked us up from our hotel and instantly made us feel comfortable in the air conditioned taxi. He offered free Wi-Fi and cold water and even said he could make coffee as he had prepared a flask!
Very funny man with lots of jokes (riddles) he was very informative and gave us lots of information about the history of Mauritius. We stopped at various places in Port Louis - including some historical sites, a fruit and veg market where we tried local foods, umbrella street and the harbour for a beer and then to a very beautiful Tamil temple. The whole trip was about 5 hours including the drive from the hotel (west coast) and cost 2800 rupees. Highly recommend booking a trip with Mr San if you come to Mauritius. Guaranteed a good time!!

We had a lovely five days tour experience in Mauritius with San Taxi.
The communication with Mr. San for arranging a customized itinerary was very smooth as he responded to us through whatapp and provide suggestions and ideas to improve the planned itinerary. The trip with Mr. San is so enjoyable as he keeps singing and does Karaoke song performance during the ride, he provides jokes and puzzles and lots of historical information about the site visit. He was very flexible to accommodate our requests and changes whenever we asked. We felt being as one family during the journey. His son Vashish also escorted us during the arrival and on the second day, he is also a professional young guide like the father. We really enjoyed our trip with San Taxi and definitely will continue to book our future trips with him when we visit Mauritius again

I arrived in Mauritius on a cruise ship and had only two precious days on the island. I had arranged a swim with the dolphins as a ship excursion but did not want to return to the ship after the swim as it was only noon time and I was in the southwest of the island where there is so much to see and do. That’s where San came in and he was amazing! He met me right on time after my dolphin swim - mind you, I couldn’t tell San exactly where I would be or when until the last minute, but he stayed in touch with WhatsApp and was right there to whisk me away to see all the highlights of Southwest Mauritius and to explain the history of the island.
Not only did we go to each point of interest efficiently, but San offered me coffee (made in his car!), water, a wifi connection as well as his karaoke singing and sense of humor. He also took great photos of me as my ‘selfies’ from traveling solo were getting old😄.
On day 2 in Mauritius, San’s sweet son, Vashish picked me up on time from the ship and got me to La Vanille Nature park on time (challenging given Monday morning traffic and rain)for an appointment to feed the Lemurs (unfortunately the mother Lemur was acting overly protective of her baby so Lemur feedings had been cancelled……but La Vanille has baby crocodiles and baby tortoises all of which were happy to be fed - not to mention the 100 huge adult tortoises!).
Vashish’s also offered water and wifi and we stopped to get snacks. As I did have a deadline to return to the ship, Vashish suggested our final stop be at a marketplace filled with everything from spices and veggies to souvenirs and regular clothing and we visited his friend’s spice stall so I could bring home some vacuum packed curry and vanilla sticks.
In all, I really felt I experienced Mauritius in the best way possible in a short time frame because of the wonderful father and son team at San Taxi. I highly recommend their safe driving, upbeat attitude, knowledge and hospitality!

During my recent trip to Mauritius, I encountered a very unfortunate event with “SanTaxi”.
I requested SanTaxi to transport me from “C-Mauritius Resort” to the “Central Market” then to “Constance Belle Mare Plage”. He told me the day before that the trip will cost me 1800 Rs and we agreed.
On the next day, SanTaxi transported me from “C-Mauritius Resort” to “Flacq Market”. I informed the driver that I wanted Central Market and showed him the conversation between “SanTaxi” Management and me. The driver told me that he was informed to transport me “Flacq Market”. It was clear that there was a miscommunication from “San Taxi”.
The driver then informed me that it would cost me an extra 1000 Rs to go to the “Central Market”!
After finishing from the “Central Market” and dropping me back to the resort, the driver informed me that “SanTaxi” told him that I have to pay another extra 500 Rs!
Therefore, I ended up paying 3300 Rs even though the agreed price was 1800 Rs for a mistake and miscommunication I did not commit!
I complained to “San Taxi” about this and they told me they would only reimburse me 300 Rs, they did not even stick to their word and fulfil their promise.
In conclusion, I paid about 45% extra in price with zero apologies and remorse from “San Taxi”!
Based on the above experience, I recommend against booking trips with “SanTaxi”.

This is our fourth time with San, he organised our transport from/to airport, brought us to Le Morne Brabant and walked together with us at Tamarind waterfalls. While driving we did some karaoke and San sang his version of Titanic song. We hope to be back soon and take San for sure again as our driver 😊

I submitted a last minute request for transportation to multiple destinations in Mauritius. Thankfully, he was able to provide transportation services during my stay. He’s very responsive, we communicated via email and what’s app. He’s also flexible and professional. I felt very safe and the prices were good as well.

Bonjour, San taxi nous a demandé 3200 euros la journée et il est alors à disposition toute la journée pendant 8 à 10h00. Sa voiture 6 places est vraiment haut de gamme (cuir, climatisation, WIFI, 6 grandes places, rafraîchissement,...). Regardez sur le guide du routard car il y a pas de visite à faire et de chose à voir ... prenez un Taxis guides pour la journée pour les excursions à la journée

Bonjour, Anna. Que voudriez-vous savoir sur cette attraction ? je vois que tout le monde parle bien de Taxin San, mais je voyage seule et je n'ai aucune idée de ce que vous appelez prix raisonables. Svp quelqun pourrait donner un exemple excursion/prix ? ou bien de l'aeroport à un l'hotel nord de l'Ile, oposé à l'aéroport, (prix orientatif) c'est aussi pour avoir un point de repère sur les prix de l'ile.
