My husband and I came with our 3 children and had a lovely time. My children had fun in the pool as did we. Lovely clean pool. Kids had ice creams from the little shop in the corner afterwards. Which sold a variety of hot and cold drinks, ice creams and snacks. Friendly staff. Only thing that lets this place... More

I've been to this lido before - I like it because it is close to the beach, nice large swimming pool, convenient parking, and of course, it's great to swim outdoors with the sun on your back. Today was fine - up to a point: quite a few families around but you still had room to swim. Main gripe was... More

My first visit here since I was a child ... many, many years ago!! My children found the pool too cold and it was very cold but there was a notice to say it had recently been filled so would be colder than usual. My big disappoint was that it was unclean. Food and litter on the floor and the... More

There was quite a queue to get in on a hot day but plenty of room in the water, although it was really cold (colder than the sea, believe it or not, although the water was much cleaner!). Seems to be a very popular local attraction.

Fantastic facility right on the beach and also really good value for money. I would recommend this open air swimming pool for a day out but must be a very hot day as the pool is a little chilly. My kids loved it.

Went to Brightlingsea for a couple of nights and took swimwear as we saw there was n outdoor pool. Very disappointed to sea the the council had considered shutting this down and that it wasn't even open during the hottest few days of the year. This would he a very good moneymaker and wasn't opening to the public untill July... More

Visited this summer, water can be cold. Changing rooms. Open play areas nearby. Easy parking. Small cafe adjacent. Reasonable prices. Usually open late May till the end of the summer holidays.

Visited three times this summer, water in pool too cold on two occasions. Fortunately plenty of time for beach play and ball games on green for young children. Pool Café excellent value, extremely clean, good food and friendly Staff. No rip-off prices and good portions. First time tasted cheesy chips. Wide variety of drinks and ice cream, soft ice cream...
