Dacasto Duilio was our favorite wine experience in Piemonte. Family owned, lovely tended vines, and precise wine making come together to produce fabulous wines including sparkling, rose, traditional Arneis, Barolo and Nebbiolo. Tastings led by owners, father son duo Duilio and Claudio in both Italian and English, in the cellar, were magical. Highly recommend a visit here and take a few cases home!

What a lovely afternoon of wine tasting, we tried 6 different wines and learnt so much about wine/ grapes etc. What a great afternoon and of course we didn’t leave empty handed.

This small vineyard of some 7 hectares has been in the Dacasto family for some 4 generations. Currently managed by father Duilio, the vineyard expert and son Claudio the 31 year old son trained in oenology. They are doing exciting things with Barbera which basically only grows well in the surrounding 20 square kilometre.
He is concentrating on Vianus Rosé 100% Barbera with beautiful colour, a red Barbera with 12 months in stainless steel and Superior from half hectare of 84 year old grapes in oak for 12 months. All top wines
Claudio also a champoneise style of 40% Barbera 40% pinot and 20% Chardonnay. His first vintage is dazzling. A very learned young man and should go a long way in the wine industry. A must if you have some interest in wines

The owner Claudio gave us an incredible tour across his winery and passionately explained the different peculiarities of all the different wines he produces. His dedication to his wines really amazed me - meeting him was a truly authentic experience.

We enjoyed the tour and tasting in this small, unassuming winery. The Barbera Superior was quite a find--we managed to squeeze 2 cases of it into a suitcase. The other wines were tasty and fun. The Chardonnay was impressive, with a spicy oakiness. Kudos to Claudio on your fine creations!

DaCasto is undoubtedly one of the best wineries in the area. Truly remarkable Barbera, Nizza and Chardonnay. And winery visits are managed to provide the visitor with an unforgettable experience.
