Best zip line ever road. It was pricey for a one trip zip line but worth every penny. You will probably never get a chance to zip over the ocean like that. I do recommend you are in pretty good health though. The stop is a little abrupt. You need to watch others coming down prior to your experience so you can see what to expect. If you embrace it you will even enjoy the stop. Overall I would do it again as well as the roller coaster nestled right next to it. Please please please. If you are going to buy tickets for the Dragons roller coaster, buy an all day pass. For $10 more a person you can tide it all day and it is as fun as the zip line.

This was an exhilarating ride. I went with my 3 teenage daughters and we all loved it. They check and recheck your harness, there is a small practice run then they take you to the platform. 5 people can go at a time and the guys really did their best to keep us as a group. The start is smoothe, no dips or drops or jerky movements but an incredible view and just too short!

This was an excellent experience. Traveled via Royal Carribbean - Symphony of the Sea. Dragon Breath Zipline - crew was excellent - Friendly and professional. Safety was emphasized and transportation provided. Views were spectacular and the zipline was FUN! I will definitely do it again.

The view was spectacular, but so was the price. If you've ever zip-lined before, this will be a disappointment. One zip for the price of a 3 hour zip-line tour elsewhere, not worth it.

Fun ride but about 3 minutes long. It should be priced at $25 or less but I guess Royal Carribiean needs the $86. Fun but way way too much money for the time on the line. Price gouging at its best!

Royal Caribbean owns this piece of land in Haiti where they´ve built a beach resort. The top attraction is the world´´s longest zip lining. You may think this will be a short experience, but the whole package will take you almost 2 hours. Even if you have prebooked tickets, you´ll have to make a line to sign a waiver, to be weighted (you can´t exceed 250 pounds), to place your stuff in a locker, to be lectured, to find the equipment in your size, to put it on. All this might take you 40 minutes.
Then you´ll walk up a hill to do the training zip line where you practice the use of the gear. The system is very friendly and you don´t have to do anything; your only concern is adopting certain position or the other. I´ve been in other zip linings where you have to slow down using your gloved hand, but not in here. Then you have to wait for enough riders to fill a truck. This process might be another 40 minutes.
The truck ride gets you to the top of the highest hill in the resort. The you form in line again to do the Dragon Breath. The 4 minutes ride feels marvellous, the closest I´ve ever been to flying.

My fiance and I visited Labadee in September of 2012 while on a Royal Carribean cruise. When we heard that Dragon's Breath was the longest zipline in the world over water, we had to try it.
We had originally booked for an 11am zip line, because we didn't know how quickly we would have gotten off the ship and made it to the tour. We are at the counter of Dragon's Breath before 10am and the staff just invited us along the 10am group so we didn't have to stand around! We just signed our waivers and we were on our way.
The staff had us equipped and loaded on a small, open bus within 15 minutes and we were on our way to the "practice" zip line. Even after being explained the directions 5 times, some people still didn't understand the simple task of zip lining properly, so a practice run was a good idea! The staff was very knowledgeable and showed us how to tweak technique to zip faster and still be safe.
Once the practice run on the smaller hill was over, we got on a bus and rode to the top of the mountain. It was about 400 feet in the air. The view was absolutely amazing. Everyone was placed in line behind a station (1-6) based on the total weight distribution of those going down in each heat of zipliners. Because of this, it is possible that you won't be placed next to those you came with, so be sure to request it! They accomodated us and the people we were with!
Take your sunglasses off, or they WILL fly off unless theyre on your eyes. (Don't leave them on your head) Hold your cameras tight as well. You will FLY down. It is too good to miss! Once you reach the bottom of the zip line, your toes will be only a few short feet from the water!
Enjoy! It's a great experience!

I have to admit I was really nervous when I signed up to do this I was under the weight limit to go so i figured why not. we went while we were on the oasis of the seas.. The trip up on the jeep was a little scarey the guy driving the jeep was more dangerous then the zip line i though.. They take you to the baby dragon before you go on the big one.. its quite a drop but I just layed back and I flew down at a pretty good speed... It does cost about 70$ but its well worth it..

Labadee is the private area owned by Royal Caribbean technically located in Haiti. Cruisers arrive via RC ship and can book this excursion ahead of the cruise or on the cruise. There is limited availability so if you wait until you're there, you may not get to do it. If this is canceled due to the weather, you will receive an immediate refund from RC.
Dragon's Breath is the zipline you do while sitting up. Dragon's Fire is the zipline you do while lying face down. This review is about Dragon's Breath.
Upon arrival at the check in desk, they have you sign a detailed waiver then they weigh you and write your weight on your wristband. No hiding that extra dessert you've been eating on the ship. You're then fitted into a harness and given an orientation. After that, it's a short walk to the practice line. Here, they have you go down a short zipline to test that you won't panic on the big one and to make sure you'll follow directions. It's an easy zipline since the harness completely supports you and the braking is done for you. All you have to do is lay back then sit up and hold on.
The local staff will ask to take your cell phone and take photos. Let them do it! My husband handed his over to a guy who took multiple photos of both of us on the practice line and even a video. We tipped him but weren't pressured to do it.
After the practice line, we were loaded into an open-air truck and driven (outside the fence) to the top of the big zipline. Once there we walked up a ramp and enjoyed the view while waiting our turn. We again had a staff person take our photo at the top for an additional tip. This was optional. Once it was our turn, we climbed onto the ledge (clipped to a safety line), got hooked up and were released. Five people go at the same time so you can race if you want. We laid back half way down, then sat up. At the end the braking is done for you. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the gorgeous view over the ocean.
There are lockers at the base for loose items. You can't safely hold a phone unless it's on a strap. No helmets are warn for this one so things like hats can blow off which we saw happen. You won't get anything you drop back. Glasses can be safely warn on your face. I strongly recommend wearing shoes that have straps. Flip flops can get lost while in the air.
This was a lot of fun and one of the easiest ziplines to do. Those who are afraid of heights will likely have issues, especially at the top where the ramp is see-through and you're up on a platform. It really was a lot of fun.

At $76 for one ride it is just not worth it, particularly when you consider that you have to be on a RCL/Celebrity Cruise to visit Labadee in the first place. If they dropped the prices to a sensible level far more people would use it and they would actually make more money.

Is there a min weight of 75 lbs for this zip line. When I booked this 2 months ago their was no min weight posted. There was for the dragons fire so we opted for the dragons breath instead so everyone in our family could do it. Now I see there is a weight limit posted. My youngest son is very light and only at 70lbs. Will I need to cancel him??
Written March 9, 2020
Based on the reason for that possibly. We were told anyone 175 or less had to zip in the faster, laying back position because they wanted them to go faster. It would take them too long to get down if they were in the seated position. So based on that information I would think there might be a minimum weight. I would refer to their website but maybe your son could put some water bottles in his cargo shorts. They did make you step on a scale before suiting you.

Thanks for your feedback ...
We'll be on a cruise and I intend to book this 'excursion' in advance on-line. It's just a bit unclear re the half hourly timeslots referred to, i.e. whether they're bookable.
No doubt I can clarify on-board.
I presume the 'check in' booth for the Zipline is easy to find when you get off the ship?
Thanks again, KP.

Is there any way of 'pre-booking' a timeslot for the zip line or is it a case of turning up at the booth to see what's available and then booking? KP
Written January 28, 2020
Unsure if you can book a specific time, you might be able to do so if you book through your travel agent or through the excursion desk (if your on a cruise ship). The time slots are not that critical in my opinion, its a small resort and its pretty quick, hope that helps

Go online to your Royal reservation, then go to shore excursions and pre book. I wouldn’t wait to book on the ship and as far as I know you can’t just show up at the booth on shore then purchase. It’s one of the most popular at that stop so I wouldn’t wait too long.

Is it mandatory to pre-book prior to arrival? How much it is?
Written November 2, 2019
I’m not going to be partaking due to a medical concern but I want my husband to have the opportunity. Will there be a good place for me to wait for him nearby? I just don’t want to end up miles away if I’m not allowed to get up closer without a ticket!
Written October 14, 2019
If the truck is full you won’t be able to go up to the tower. But you can wait right where the ride comes down.
Written October 14, 2019
Nope....unless they are attached securely to your feet.
Written October 11, 2019
I would advise not as if u r on the one you go head first you have to put ur feet in a sleeping bag and if u r on the sit down one it would b quite dangerous for landing. I have done both.

What are the weight and height restrictions for this excursion?
Written June 24, 2019
I don't think so. They never asked us our height or weight while booking.
