We signed up for the Amiga Island excursion during our port visit to Labadee, and it was a great choice. We never saw the beaches at Labadee but I'm guessing they were pretty crowded with 4,000 passengers getting off the ship. There were about 25 folks on our boat. It took about 25 minutes to get to the island, and we had to wade a bit to get onto the beach. There were chairs and a small bar and a couple hammocks, but most people spent time in the water, which was perfect temperature. We also walked around the island, which took about ten minutes. Overall it was a nice getaway from the cruise crowds, and worth the cost.

Visited Amiga Island as part of a cruise excursion via a 10 min boat ride from Labadee.
There isn't much to do on the island, which is exactly why it's so appealing. Other than a refreshment stand, bathroom and some chairs, the island is in it's natural state. Local fisherman were up resting in the shade with their fishing boats nearby, but otherwise no other people than our small group.

The water is clear and blue the sand soft, with coral and shells, and the mountains of Hispaniola make a beautiful view. It was perfect for those of us that need a relaxing and calming day.

Royal caribbean Adventure of the seas.
Looking for a beautiful place for my kids (8 and 10) to swim and snorkel while in Haiti. Amiga Island is amazing, beautiful warm clear water and a nice sand beach, however beware, ocean here is used for a trash dump as far as I could tell, miles of floating trash on the boat ride over and trash washed up on the beach and floating in the water as you swim, my son found broken glass when swimming, ruined it for me was too scared they where going to get cut or step on a needle or something buried in the sand. Also thinking if they dump all trash probably dump other waste as well.
Sad to see this little Gem of an Island turn into a dump

This was so beautiful and so relaxing. We will definitely do it again. We swam from the luxury sailing yacht to the island and it was spectacular.

It was beautiful. The water was clear and warm. The only bad thing was how the water currents brought up a lot of discarded items onto the beach(pollution).

This is island is beautiful. The scenery, the people and the food are amazing. This is a wonderful place to just relax. The clear water white sand beaches are a luxury. I had a freshly caught and made seafood meal. It was amazing! This island and all of Haiti made me not want to leave. It is definitely a must see for yourself. I will definitely be back!

The island is very small, can be walked around in 10 minutes. There is nothing except 4/5 stalls of poor people selling the usual Caribbean souvenirs (where only the writings change)...You can certainly enjoy a more beautiful and calmer sea than in Labadee but the cost is not worth the "trip" lasting three hours...15/20 dollars each would be enough since it only consists of transport from the pier to the islet...with a "welcome" drink...we don't recommend it!
