We really enjoyed this walk, although for us the hardest part was walking up the road from the parking area to start it! Maybe something to do with the level of sunshine :) Once you get going it levels out into a really pleasant walk with varying scenery and lots of photo opportunities.

This hike is great for all hiking levels, and depending on speed can just be a small part of a day of exploring the region: amazing views, huge variety of wildflowers, a magical creek, wild fig trees growing out of the mountain. If you take children, be aware that there are some areas that could be dangerous.

This walk is about 8km (4km each way) along a stunning gorge. Lots of dramatic scenery and steep drops but the path is wide enough to feel safe. The route ends at a small chapel that overlooks a green valley and is a perfect spot for a picnic. We walked on another 1km to the village of Pedroveya where there is a great cider bat and restaurant. All of the family enjoyed it and we saw people of all ages and abilities doing the walk. There are lots of rocky paths so you do need solid shoes.
