The Glenlivet Distillery sits in a wild and remote glen, its history laced with drama and intrigue. So in every bottle of whisky we make, we capture as much of the spirit of the glen as we can. We invite you to the heart of Scotland's whisky-making country to explore the turbulent history of the whisky smugglers, delve into the intriguing mysteries of distilling and sample the golden magic that is The Glenlivet.

The following tours are available at this award-winning visitor centre:

The Glenlivet Classic Tour - This classic tour offers you a sensory introduction to the whole, finely-crafted process of whisky-making in our modern distillery. You'll see the racked casks of slowly maturing malts in a traditional bonded warehouse and then an invitation to toast George Smith, with a dram of The Glenlivet, on the very land he once farmed nearly two hundred years ago.

Cost: £10 per person

Daily tours from 10am and every half hour, and last tour at 4.30pm

Duration: 1 1/4 hours (pre-booking advised)

Maximum group size: 16

Open to visitors age 18 and over

Audio guides available in French, German, Italian and Spanish subject to availability

The Glenlivet Inspiration Tour - Enjoy a detailed tour of our distillery and visit our exclusive Warehouse No.1 where you can sample a special dram drawn straight from the cask. Our tour finishes in the Malt Loft with a tutored tasting of new and limited release expressions of The Glenlivet.

Cost: £35 per person

Duration: 2 hours (pre-booking essential)

Maximum group size: 16

Timings: Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday at 14:00 (subject to availability)

The Legacy Tasting Experience - Join us for an exclusive tutored tasting of extremely rare and aged single malt whiskies from The Glenlivet. The experience culminates with a dram drawn straight from one of the aged casks housed in our traditionally styled warehouse. A presentation of an exclusive gift is included to commemorate your experience.

Cost: £60 per person

Duration: 90 minutes (pre-booking essential)

Maximum group size: 12

Timings: Tuesday at 11:00, Thursday and Friday at 14:00 (subject to availability)

We also have an exhibition which gives you a fascinating insight into the history of The Glenlivet , a gift shop selling a wide range of whiskies and whisky-themed gifts, and a coffee shop which serves snacks and light refreshments including home-baking, homemade soup, filled rolls and baked potatoes.

We hope to welcome you in the near future. Slàinte!

Spent a week in Dulnain Bridge and as a fan of single malt I thought I'd drive along the whisky trail and see where I ended up. An easy drive from the main rd up to the distillery and plenty of parking. The visitors centre is massive with a nice exhibition downstairs, cafe and we'll stocked shop. I went on... More

The tour was very nice and the visitors center and exhibition was beautiful. They have many of their pricier whiskys available for taste for a reasonable fee. We didn't try the cafe but the food smelled delicious.

Although it's not my favourite single malt, I'd highly recommend the Glenlivet visitor attraction for visitors to Scotland getting a feel for the whisky trail. About an hour's drive from Balmoral Castle, the Glenlivet distillery is situated in some beatifully remote country and the drive there is spectacular in any season although parts maybe inaccessible in the winter. There are... More

Stopped here on a very snowy afternoon and took the free tour, was really interesting. Very impressive set up, great smell of whiskey throughout. Noted that children seem to be allowed on the tours here which is good, as I know many don't allow this (3 children around 8years on another tour when we were there). Good size free sample,... More

We only had time to visit one distillery while we were in the Highlands, so we picked Glenlivet. Our guide was a young man who was fairly new, but he told the story pretty well and was very personable. The visitor facility is very "touristy" and the tour take in the various stages of production, but not the processing of... More

My wife, myself, our son and his girlfriend had such an enjoyable visit to The Glenlivet Distillery. We took a free tour with Debbie, our host, who made the whole experience informative and fun. Lunch at the cafe was well priced. I especially enjoyed the Whisky Ice Cream. Make the effort to visit if you are in the area.

Visited Glenlivet distillery in March 2016. Enjoyed an informative tour with a guide who knew his stuff. As with other reviewers we enjoyed the free samples at the end. There were 3 on offer. There were 3 of us,with one being the designated driver (important !). The 2 older whiskies were excellent. We also sampled an additional whisky from 1983,which... More
