Might be the day, might be the season! The BEAUTIFUL and tiny sanded beach in the middle of nowhere with the blue crystal clear waters, should be visited by everyone who is going to stay in Chania Prefecture! But in my opinion, the best month...More

This is the best beach in Crete. You must let your car at the top of the hill and then go down a scary road full of rocks and very steep. If you are careful enough you will make it!

Its very hard to get there but, once we reached the beach, we forgot the difficult path and enjoyed every moment in this little paradise beach!

We drove here from chania town and was about 30 mins, the roads towards the beach are very sharp and steep, but absolutely fine if approached with care we travelled in a Nissan micra and was fine. There's places to park at the top, would...More

This beach is small but really beautiful to look at from the top. You have to hike down carefully as there are no proper paths but rocky and stone filled routes. Go straight down instead of left turn which could be much tougher. You will...More

Totally didn't expect to find such a beautiful and laid-back beach in Greece. The distance from any resorts and the hike down ensures everyone on the beach is young and low-maintenance. Water is crystal clear.

Although it seemed complicated to find, it wasn’t really. Head towards the Chania Airport, continue past it to the village of Chordaki, then follow the road until you start seeing signs for “the port.” Eventually you’ll arrive at the top of a hill and from...More

We are hoping to visit Santorini soon. My question is, is it possible to take a boat and come to Stefanou Beach for a few days and stay at a resort? Or is that cost prohibitive? Has anyone done this or have advice on how to do this? I wanted to do this with my family because airfare from LAX to Greece is already so cost-prohibitive, so I was hoping to squeeze in as many spots and attractions in Greece -- Stefanou Beach/Seitan Limania included. Thank you so much, and so sorry if this is such a newbie question.

I would suggest Chania dor your visit. I would also suggest that you stay in town, hotel or AirBnb, and rent a car to visit all beaches around. For the beaches there are numerous sites/apps that offer detailed info on each... More

How much will it cost to take a taxi to this beach from Chania? Do you think we can arrange with the taxi to pick us up after some hours? :)

Taxi is very expensive in Chania, because gas is really expensive. Wherever you go, be prepared to pay a minimum of 20 euros. If you are thinking of renting a car - this will give you some mobility and will pay off if you... More
