Barbados Catamaran Snorkeling Cruise

532 reviews
Sail the Caribbean waters of Barbados’ west coast aboard the El Tigre schooner on this fun half-day cruise, with transfers. Enjoy free-flow drinks, including rum punch, beer, and juice, and a light snack as you inhale views of palm trees, beach, and ocean. Stop for guided snorkeling at a reef known for turtle sightings and a shipwreck that’s a vibrant marine habitat. Upgrade for a longer adventure, with lunch.

We visited on Sunday February 23rd and picked up great fresh producing including lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, mint, etc. Much fresher than you can find in the local grocery stores. There were also a few craft stalls selling jewelry, clothing, etc. It's a great place for a light breakfast and coffee or juice as well. Allow about one hour.

We were staying nearby and walked up to Holders House. Found numerous stalls in a lovely setting selling everything from produce to jewellery and original paintings.

I highly recommend visiting the farmers market on sunday 9-2pm, near the polo grounds. I had no trouble finding with signs and using gps on my phone. I bought good food: vegetable quiche, beet hummus, papaya, swiss chard, escarole, and taboleh. The cliff has a mobile stand selling amazing bread, and croissants. truly exceptional baked goods from the cliff. Reading some of the previous reviews, my word, meoowww! yes the market is full of tourists. the farmers market is 5 minutes away from the 'gold coast' where rooms are $1000 a night. what do you expect? all the produce looked very good and I did not get sick from any of the food from the stalls. You can buy produce all over the island from stands set up casually. and is a good option. However, I think you might find more variety at the farmers market.
