Sougia is by design an decidedly laid-back seaside town and the hotels owners and visitors seem to want to keep it that way. Hikers like it because you can walk in and out of it and keep hiking (2-3 days) to Loutro farther east, and...More

Sougia beach is an excellent peacefull beach at the south of Chania. From April to beggining of November many visitors comes for relaxing away from mass tourism. One time if you come then it is sure that you will return again.

Chilled out and quiet even in august! Don't be put off by the pebbles - the swimming is beautiful in crystal clear waters and the village is lid back and friendly with lots of nice places to eat.
