We pre-booked with this taxi service to do a round trip from Plakias to Samaria Gorge and from the ferry stop back to our hotel in Plakias. The driver arrived very early for our 7:30 departure time in a Mercedes. The driver insisted we pay everything upfront at Samaria, which we were a bit nervous about, but the driver was waiting for us at the ferry. Emailing and scheduling was extremely easy and quick.

We were looking for a more secure way to get back to our rental car at the start of the Samaria Gorge. Strolling the internet I saw Meletis taxi and decided to inform for their rates. Almost immediately they responded with a really fair proposal, ever since that first contact they have answered any questions we posed. At the end of our day, they were there as agreed upon. A very friendly driver who knew his road extremely well brought us in a safe, comfortable and fast way back to our car. Very satisfied customers here!

To try to find a way to go to the Samaria Gorge we contacted Meletis taxi Sougia and they responded with fast and great service. The Gorge was closed until beginning of May and then they recommended the Agia Irini Gorge instead. Also presenting different solution and had the transportation ready for next day using the WhatApp for easy and fast communication, thank you Antonia at the “central station”.
The driver was ready as agreed, and even when we was 15 min. late, the driver just smiled and says “everything is fine, no worries, this is Cretan 😅”
I would travel at any time with them, 662.000 km has the WW Touran traveled and still going strong, unbelievable 🚖

My friends and I needed help with transportation from our hotel in Chania to Agia Irini Gorge and Samaria Gorge. We were very pleased by the excelled customer service we received from Antonia. She answered many questions for us and ran through many different scenarios until we found the right solution to meet our transportation needs and budget. Everything ran smoothly with the transportation to the Gorges, and we were pleased to be able to meet Antonia's son and father who also work in the family business. Meletis Taxi Sougia is a company you can rely on to follow though and provide excellent service for your transportation needs. The taxi was roomy for the 5 of us, and clean, and our driver (Antonia's son) was friendly and personable and he provided additional suggestions to save us time on the day of our hikes. (Note: I have made a suggestion to correct the website and email links since they weren't working on Trip Advisor. Very friendly driver. We were two grandparents, two parents and two children. Right size baby seats, as requested, for 1 and 4 years old were on board. The journey from Heraklion to Sougia was a long distance but with a short stop and the careful driving everything went well. The way back after one week was easy too. Overall very good experience.

Antonia could not have been any more helpful. From my initial contact by email to the what’s app messages we exchanged to confirm she was efficient courteous and kind. She went more than the extra mile. Gave advice and was so clear in her communications. I would highly recommend. Our taxi was waiting for us at 6.30am to drop us at the top of the Samaria Gorge and the driver drove safely and the roads that can be quite dangerous in parts.

They communicated very well by mail before the trip, and waited for us with a sign as we left the boat.
Car was clean with enough room for all 4 of us to rest for 45 min.
Driver was very nice. Drove safely in the mountains.
Made our Samaria experience even better.

Really excellent service when we wanted to take the Samaria Gorge. We had a rental car and we felt very confident that we had a taxi waiting in Sougia to bring us back to the start of the hike. We also got good advice on boat tickets and we had a fabulous tour. Very, very professional service and highly recommended.

I have the best experience of Meletis and Antonia’s company. Michalis their son is the nicest taxi I ever met. Smoothly driving in the difficult mountain streets and very polite. I warmly recommend their family business.

Durinh hiking through the Irine gorge we used the services of Meletis taxi from Sougia. They provide excellent and pleasant service.
