Fantastic beach with a bit of a walk from the car park. The beach is beautiful but the sea is rough with very strong currants not really suitable for youngsters to swim

One of my favorite places. Unspoilt, uncommercial beauty. Perfect for families, couples, singles, outdoorsy types. Cycle there, and then relax. Or surf, bodyboard, fly a kite, horse ride, walk your dog, kite surf, build a sand castle, go fishing, dig a hole, climb the light...More

Worth the walk over the sand dunes, miles of unspoilt sandy beach, the sea lives up to it's name and not for poor or non swimmers.

These lovely beaches remind me of Cornwall without the crowds, the commercialism or the overpriced parking. 10km of golden sands. In some places a tough trek up through steep sand dunes but rewarded by miles of golden sand, great waves for bodyboarding or surfing and...More

Went to visit the beach on the cote sauvage with friends who were camping nearby. Clean beach, albeit busy in august. Life guards and flags to indicate safety in the water. Kids 8-12 were ok (I mean safety wise - they had a ball!) under...More

I strongly advise you to rent a bike and use the ad hoc tracks to explore that part of the coast. Huge pine woods seldom separated by white, fine, sand tracks to reach for wild beach where the water is still cristal clear

Park the car in one of many designated car parks and get out and enjoy the wonderful coastline. Excellent for walking, swimming or sunbathing - depending on the weather. Have fun!

Fantastic beach. Beautiful sandy dune with rolling Atlantic breakers. Life guards if you need them and a lovely lighthouse at one end.

Wonderful sand, powerful waves, and lifeguarded in certain spots. I visited two sites, both with life guards. The first was at the Forestier de al Bouverie. There is a campervan-type refreshment vehicle that comes, but other than that, nothing. The car park is a fair...More

A magnificent coast line with huge beaches. Life guards at some, areas for naturists. Parking under shady trees.

Hi Susie I have to say I don't know. I have heard dogs are mostly banned from beaches in France and we didn't see any whilst there.
