Pipelines feeding the power station spoil the effect
Aug 2019 • Family
Advertised as the only waterfall in europe directly into the sea may be correct bur the ocean is about 1.5 kilometers away with a beach having good views of the tip of cape finistere. The waterfall itself is reduced substantially by the amount of water removed before it starts falling. Maybe it is better after a rainstorm. When we visited the closer approaches were limited by shoreside construction work - small boats could get much closer.

Waterfall amid unusual rock formations
Sep 2018 • Friends
Not the biggest waterfall but an interesting one in a beautiful setting surrounded by sculpted rocks and craggy hillsides. The location is close to the end of the Camino pilgrim way at Cape Finisterre on Spain’s northern Atlantic coast. There’s a wooden walkway from the car park right to the foot of the waterfall.

It’s a nice easy stroll from the car park to the falls a very peaceful place.also the view point on the top of the road and also the dam that feeds the river is worth going to.

Beautiful waterfall, very nice garden near the marina
Aug 2018 • Couples
We had no plans to visit this place, didn't even know about it until Manolo, the guide from the Museum at Castillo de San Carlos told us we must visit.
This is the only river in Europe that flows into the sea by waterfall.
By the waterfall there is a small marina with very nice gardens and a terrace with a small artisan stands and tapas bars.

Real busy
Aug 2018 • Family
Busy during summer but cute. It is a short walk from the tourist info office. It seems like at night it is lit.

This is a place for very beautiful pictures as well as to see lace knitters from Galicia ( palilleiras de camariñas) an ancient work similar to the Bruges ones.

lovely!
Sep 2017 • Friends
First of all this part of Spain reminds Scandinavia and is totally different. The place isn't overcrowded especially in slow season, so you can take nice pics without a hurry. There is a mirador up the hill for the nice views.
The waterfall is quite big, in some periods even illuminated, and what is most important- you can approach really close to it. The waterfallfrom one side and the ocean from another!
Make sure not to pass it

A Great Surprise
May 2017 • Friends
We stopped here on our way to Finisterre (Fisterra) and Muxia. What a great surprise for a waterfall that drops directly into the Atlantic Ocean. You walk past the fairly ugly structures of the power plant that runs off the falls and right down to waters edge to see the whole falls and see its power. Very fun excursion.
