I booked two separate sets of private lessons in May and June to develop my kiting ability. Sukie was very professional and focused on working on specific skills to develop my performance. She adapted the session with different practice elements and was always motivational providing clear, simple feedback. I would recommend her and her team whether you are a beginner or more proficient kiter. I will be booking another set of sessions when I am next at Westward Ho!

I had a billiant experience! Really fun, friendly instructors happy to accommodate and taylor lessons to fit where I was at. It wasn't windy when I booked so they moved things around to fit me in later that same week once the wind had picked up. I couldn't recommend learning with 514 Elemental enough. Really good kit aswell.

From the first contact with Sukie everything was made very easy and clear communication.
I had 3 days booked kiting with Sukie and it was so much fun. She is a fantastic teacher, lots of patience and very clear instruction. Can't wait to come back to North Devon and carry on with my lessons.

Best Kitesurf tuition out there!!! Friendly, professional and a great location. Fantastic lesson with Sukie. Really made a difference and feel like I’ve taken a massive step forward. Couldn’t ask for more!

had 2 days of being taught by suki herself....what a wonderful teacher so patience and lets you learn at your pace.........helped me and my fella out alot ive learnt alot in the 2 days of kiting with her company would recommend them to everyone

Had two days kite surfing lessons with suki, and can't praise her enough, i learnt more in them two days than i thought i ever could, i will be returning next year and will carry on where i left of hopefully, and would like to add .. many thanks

Had an awesome set of 3 lessons from complete beginner to getting up on the board, Sukie and Alex were amazing and so flexible when the conditions changed.

We highly recommend 514elemental to learn as beginners. Robin has been an amazing coach throughout the week. Very professional and flexible with the times of lessons and wind. He was fully dedicated to us as a couple to learn the basics and to get is on the board within 4 lessons. All the kits are very well maintained and of high quality.
As a coach, Robin is really friendly, knowledgeable and patient. He made us feel safe and confident to go out on your own.
514elemental is not only a kite surfing school, they are trustworthy kite surfing contacts with loads of good tips and recommendations.

As an absolute beginner with no surfing, power kite flying or sailing to my name and not in the first flush of youth, I was a bit nervous.... Robin is a great, positive teacher with patience and a sense of humour. I spent a couple of hours getting to know modern kite flying (they don't come with tails anymore!) with a power kite (good fun in itself) and then graduated to small surfing kite in the afternoon. Similar technique but a lot bigger! Out in the water I gradually got to know how to handle the power of the kite safely and having had a few unplanned introductions to the water (both myself and the kite!) headed into the waves to do my first body surfs. Wheeeeeee!! Returning to my overnight accommodation with aches in muscles I had long forgotten I had! Today I enjoyed extending my confidence with a bigger kite and gaining experience in one handed kite control and body surfing. Unfortunately by the time I had learned the rudiments of getting on the board, the tide had turned and the strength of the waves together with putting new skills with kite into play and getting up onto a board proved a bit too much as I was tired. BUT I will return here next time I am down this way and have no doubt that Robin will soon have me scooting up and down the beach on a board.
It was great fun and very liberating. So I would recommend this to young (some of the kids who were kite surfing when I left were 10-12) and older as great exercise, great fun and you don't have to be super fit to do it. Whether you live within striking distance or are coming on holiday and want to try something outside your comfort zone but in safe hands, I would highly recommend you make time in your schedule for kite surf training with Robin and Sukie.

514 is based on the beautiful beach at Westward ho! It’s a stunning location and Robin and Sukie are really fantastic instructors, I would highly recommend learning to kitesurf with 514 Elemental the best kitesurfing school in the south west.
