Well worth venturing up hill to see this Castle. They are constantly working here to make it more visitor friendly. Quite a steep walk up from the car parking area at the back for anyone with walking difficulties. Once inside this is an exciting place...More
We visited the castle yesterday with no real expectations (we aren't a cultural family!) but had a great couple of hours. The drive to the car park is steep and interesting when you meet a car coming the other way.

Take the 'ferry' across the river by foot and walk to the village ( 15 mins), road takes you past fig, lemon and olive trees... then you come across the amazing vista of the castle on the hill and surrounding village...More

We started by finding the river at the edge of town looking up at the castle. So spectacular! You have to used your imagination a bit on some of the rooms. Bring water with you if it is hot. Found it interesting the church floor...More
Interesting car ride towards the Castle but worth it.
Around 5€ fee to get inside but beautiful views on the Ebre river as well as on the inside of the castle.
