We visited on a sunny but slightly drizzly day. Easy to find and lots of parking. Remember to take change for the car park though as entry is free but parking isn't. Lovely walks to do plus forests and dens to explore. Plus a fun...More

Wonderful day out in the forest following the Gruffalo Trail with the grandchildren Easy access for prams wheelchairs or cycles, lots of things to do. We saw they had bike hire and Segway too saw some horses and lots of dogs, wonderful place to explore.

Please be aware the PROW access path from Delamere rail station to the visitor centre is very dangerous to walk down. The very sensible 15mph vehicular speed limit is poorly signed and widely ignored by regular visitors and staff. There are other access points with...More

We go to Delamere foe the bike trails. There are some nice easy family friendly starter trails a nice 7 mile ride, which takes just under an hour and then there is Manley Hill. The Hill part of the forest has more hardcore downhill routes....More

There is a local train station actually at Delamere. Not sure of the frequency of the trains though. Hotels not in walking distance, check Northwich, Frodsham or Chester for those.
