Please be aware the PROW access path from Delamere rail station to the visitor centre is very dangerous to walk down. The very sensible 15mph vehicular speed limit is poorly signed and widely ignored by regular visitors and staff. There are other access points with better parking facilities and you can then make the visitor centre the halfway point of... More

We go to Delamere foe the bike trails. There are some nice easy family friendly starter trails a nice 7 mile ride, which takes just under an hour and then there is Manley Hill. The Hill part of the forest has more hardcore downhill routes. When you think about the cafe. The Gruffalo trail and Gp Are the is an... More

I live 45 minutes from Delamere Forest and love coming here for one of the walks through the beautiful forest land with a large lake, clear footpaths and the smell of pine. There's a cafe with a decent menu, overpriced like most places but great to relax after the walk. You can also hire bikes here. The car parking is... More

I have visited this site a few times recently with the wife firstly on the fantastic cycle and walking trails. And more recently with the dogs. A great visitor centre cafe and toilet facilities. A lovely day out and reasonable charges for car parking and cafe prices, although plenty of picnic sites also if needed

Lovely place for a walk, bike ride or horse ride. Pretty flat on the whole. Couple of slightly uphill ramps. We did the longest trail (red) and found it easy enough (I had triple heart bypass 18 months ago). Would recommend to the forestry commission who run the place, that better signage would help. Bike hire was a bit steep... More
