Very Conveniently Located
Feb 2020
On the route to Vapi from Mumbai just off the main road the temple has its own significance like the one in Kolhapur and Mumbai. All areas for parking are chargeable. We were lucky not to find huge quests which is normally the case on weekends.

A divine place of worship
Dec 2019
Mahalaxmi temple is situated just touching the highway on the Mumbai Ahmedabad route at Dahanu. It is around 92 KMs from Borivali. The deity is a swayambu. Thousands of devotees from Mumbai and Gujarat throng this place daily. Visit to this temple gives you peace of mind and positive energy. Snacks and refreshments are available near the temple. There is facility of toilets in the temple complex. Beautiful lotus is available here, which is offered to the Goddess Laxmi. Ample parking is available for cars and buses. We visit this place every year.

This temple is located on the main Mumbai Gujarat highway. It is a beautiful temple. There's ample parking space hence no need to worry for parking. Parking is chargeable but very nominal amount is charged. The temple is huge and beautiful. There are two mahalaxmi temples there, one on the highway itself and the other up the hill. It is recommended to visit the highway temple. The temple up the hill is not accessible by car or vehicle. You have to climb by walk and it is very deserted also. Surrounded by hilly forest area and local tribal people. I didn't see anyone going to the uphill temple. It is not recommended to climb after sunset. Hence it is better to visit the temple on the highway itself which is visited by everyone throughout the day. You will feel good and blessed after darshan. Nobody will hurry you up or push you. You can stand and have darshan as long as you want to. The surrounding is very peaceful and serene. There are ample shops on the way to the temple where you can buy things for puja thali and prasad etc. Other shops like toy shops, keychain shops etc. And God's photos shops are there. But no restaurant or dhaba nearby to have lunch or dinner. Overall a must visit for all mahalaxmi bhakts. Jai Mata Di.

Divine
Nov 2018 • Family
It was an experiene of divinity to visit the temple premises. We went from thane. The road was good and it took us approximately 2 hrs to rch the premises. It wasn't crowded and parking space is ample. Along with the idols of Mahalaxmi Mata, there are idols of Mahakali Ma, Mahasaraswati Ma and Chandika Ma placed on the left and Ganeshji on the right. There are other idols behind Ganeshji but the temple priest were ignorant about those and were honest enough to say that weren't aware. Not many people seemed to be aware of the history of the place.

In the vicinity of the temple, there's another temple too which is situated on the hillock. The locals mentioned thats the main temple and is also dedicated to Mahalaxmi Mata. We were told there are two ways to reach the remple, one by a small path and another one is a stairway that starts from another side of the hill. There's no transport to this temple, so you ll have to walk. We took the first way. It was an hour and a half long trek (no pucca road) and there was a small temple of Annapurna Mata mid-way. There are also couple of shacks enroute that sells biscuits and water in daylight. The trek is a little steep but definitely worth to take.

Mahalaxmi Mata temple on the hillock is a beautiful experience. It was pure divine and serene. Got to sit in front of the idol for a good 10 minutes. The temple is looked after by locals and we didnt find any customary priest there. There's also a small cave in the temple that has an swayanbhu idol of Mahalaxmi Mata. We were told that the temple timings were 7 am to 7 pm. However, I would strongly recommend that one shouldn't take this trek after 3 pm as the trek path is completely surrounded by the forest region. During most part of your journey you'll sporadically come across a few visitors or tribals but if it gets dark by your return hour it may get scary with literally no one around.

The path of the trek is easy to locate. You'll find a tribal's settlements at the foot of the hill. Not sure, but we were told that the alternate stairway path was equally difficult.

All in all it was a very pleasant experience to visit and witness the divine grace of Mahalaxmi Mata, blessing her children.
