Unfortunately this abbey was completely destroyed in WWII. It was very good rebuild. Interesting place to see. Not too far from Napoli. Beautiful view.

We visited a few times over the summer. Weekdays are a great time to explore the trails through the park grounds as they are relatively quiet and peaceful. Paths are mostly flat and easy-going, unless you head off into the woods. Weekends can be very...More

It's a kind of 'compex', with a restored monastery and church, extensive grounds and a couple of cafes and restaurants. The monastery has been sensitively renovated and conveys a good sense of what monastic life was like. I found the church particularly evocative - stark...More

Easy to find but strangely devoid of crowds, the abbey’s church and cloisters are a lovely site to wander around, especially on a hot day as there is plenty of tree cover. There are lots of walks going out into the surrounding parkland if you...More

The Abbadia di Fiastra is full of italians at weekends, enjoying the marked walks, visiting the abbey or having an aperitivo in one of the bars. Also there are concerts and exhibitions throughout the summer. Lovely place to relax.

Not so long ago, it was possible to come here to get away for a while from the noise and cars and hectic commerce of the town. If it was open - which wasn't always - one could wander silently in the cloisters and monastery...More

This was a real finding during our tour in Marche due to Opera Festival in Macerata. The Abbey is really a special place with a perfect restoration of monastry parts and cellars. We enjoyed also the gardens of the close noble villa.
