Our school brought 2 classes of grade 7 and 8 students to the museum to be given a guided tour. Coralee was an exceptional guide who is a knowledgeable and gifted storyteller. She related very well to this age group. I highly recommend the tour as I can’t possibly imagine people getting as much out of it as we did if they just looked around themselves. I will definitely bring classes here again.

We stopped into the Sncewips Heritage Museum after finding it on TripAdvisor. I was keen to learn a bit about the history of the Indigenous people from the region.

We didn’t plan a tour but arrived just as Jordan was about to start one.

What a great and thoroughly informative explanation of the local Indigenous people and their language.

I’m not sure if tours should/can be booked, but it would be worth finding out before going; I don’t think I would have taken as much away without the information that Jordan provided.

Entry and tour costs were by donation.

Even though she was not feeling well, Crystal graciously gave us a very in depth explanation of her culture and of the many items that were used by her people. I learned many things that I did not know about the lives of the indigenous people of the area and I would highly recommend this museum to all to gain some insight. One of the highlights of our trip. Thank you Crystal!

We had a very positive experience at the Sncewips Heritage Museum. It is small but full of artefacts that lead to revealing stories about the syilx culture in the Okanagan. The visit wouldn't have been nearly as interesting had it not been for our inspiring guide who shared history and humour. I highly recommend it to locals and visitors alike. Entry by donation.

I came along with my daughter's grade 7 field trip. The hostess, Coralee, was very informative and engaging. She also had a great sense of humour. The museum is not very big but they have some wonderful artifacts and important piece of the Okanagan People. Plan to spend 1-2 hours if you enjoy reading all the information. If you just like to see the items and get out, you can enjoy it in half an hour.

We had family over visiting us from The Netherlands and decided to visit this museum. It exceeded our expectations! Our group of nine: six adults and three teenagers, were welcomed and got a private tour of the museum. We all loved the stories and learned lots about the Westbank First Nation. Definitely a must see for visitors and residents alike!

We arrived after closing time and were standing there, deciding what to do instead when the Jordan, the Curatorial Heritage Researcher came out to see us and invited us in. He gave us 40 minutes of his time to explain the history of the Westbank First Nation and it connection to the other bands in the area as well as telling us about the items on display. An extremely interesting and enjoyable visit.
