we went slow up the hill, not really very hard but around a 20 to 30 minutes walk up the hill, on top great view of the castle and the city, remember to bring good shoe

The castle ruins were well worth the hike up to them. It is a pretty walk and the views from the top of the castle were gorgeous. Nice spot for taking pictures. The town of Staufen itself is very picturesque.
