My husband and I spent a very enjoyable afternoon shooting guns and arrows with Charles in the beautiful surrounding of Ardverikie estate. Charles is an excellent coach and very knowledgeable about wildlife and conservation in the highlands, as well as his sport. We started off by learning to load and fire crossbows, then long bows, followed by shotguns. We enjoyed the afternoon so much we were keen to rebook later in the week. A highly recommended activity near Fort William.

What a great day out! Can’t recommend this highly enough. We are a family of novices but we were made to feel at ease immediately. Charles is a great instructor, getting immediate results. More importantly he is great craic and kept everything very light hearted.

We booked two sessions with Charles and we were not disappointed. We shot in the shadow of Ben Nevis and just for that it was a wow! Charles puts you at ease and is very enthusiastic, knowledgeable and down to earth. He gave us tips, advice, pushed us out of our comfort zone and we even had a little competition at the end! Both sessions were held on farm land so be prepared for a short walk across a field and you will not be disappointed. There is a shelter where you shoot from and depending on how you progress you can move out on to the land. Instructions were clear and concise and also making sure you are safe at all times. Thanks Charles! (We did try to pack the car so we could get the cabinet in but failed! )

Charles is a legend... living my dream in the Highlands educating and thrilling with a bit of manc banter ... My son and I joined him for a 26 clay shoot in Aug 2020 ..my boy picked up his first shotgun at the age of 13 and was comfortably and safely instructed how to handle the gun respect the environment he was in ... and 10 shots in was building in confidence due to the incredible tuition being provided to him as a complete novice ..Charles was so patient and insightful even with myself who's done this a few times before he was improving my semi alright performance and helping me improve ... what a nice bloke I cant rate him highly enough and for the cost ive never had any range master more friendly insightful and in a sutch a stunning location... dont pass him by if you are interested you will be so over the moon with your experience ... charles I will be in touch for the pointers in following in your footsteps and relocating north of the border
