The huge grassy open space of Richmond Park dotted with oaks was once a place for deer hunting reserved for royalty. We may now live in more democratic times, but the deer are still there, no doubt much relieved not to be chased around any more. Now that we all have access, the park is enjoyed by cyclists, runners, families... More

Walk, run, cycle or skip - no matter how you choose to get around the park, its very much about not knowing where you are going. Just go with the flow (if you have the time) and you will find lakes, plantations, hilltops and hideaways. Deer, rabbits, squirrels and foxes are just a few of the local residents within the... We saw lots of deer in several different places. They were very photogenic and happy to have their picture taken. I... More

Perfect picnic spot! Been here lots of times, a family favourite for last 20 years but thought I'd review it to help any newbies or visitors. Richmond Park is vast. It is mostly natural parkland with wooded areas that undulates gently in the centre. It has an outer path for walking and meandering cyclists and also a road which also... More

Richmond Park is an amazing nature experience so close to central London. Whether you walk the mile of path to take in the fauna and flora, or bicycle around the vista laden paved roads, no mater in what weather its a fantastic way to spend a few hours away from the hustle and bustle of London.
