Beautiful setting awesome views which should be a great place to have a leisurely walk with the family.

Unfortunately just like Richmond park cyclists have completely ruined the experience. The last three times I have been out with my children we have almost been hit by rude arrogant self - absorbed texts who have no regard for anyone expect for themselves.

Why are they allowed to continue to break speed limits absolutely appalling.

Shame on you cyclists you are dreadful people!!!

Amazing part of London - walking here is like walking in a movie set. So beautiful and so peaceful. Worth combining with a lunch in a pub and a visit to Ham House and Gardens.

Always worry for the houses that go down to the river that they will flood, with climate change, but although river has been very high after recent rain, the Thames is just about not flooding here and it is a beautiful walk along it.

This is a great place to go for a walk with the river beside you. There are a couple of restaurants along the river and if you feel energetic you can walk to Ham House. But beware, there are NO public toilets anywhere in Richmond! They closed the one in the centre many years ago and local restaurants were supposed to allow you to use theirs but this went west. They then closed a small one on the actual riverside but there are plans to reopen it in the New Year - but don't hold your breath! The only toilets available on a Sunday are the two pubs and M&S. House of Fraser toilets have been closed for months and since the store is closing don't hold you breath! The council "helpfully" suggest going to the Kew Retail Centre for a wee - just a fifteen minute drive away or a doctor's surgery (helpfully closed on a Sunday), Other than that just cross your legs. It's shocking that a beauty spot such as this has no public loos.

Whether you are walking up or down the Thames path there is so much to see. The paths are good and I would recommend to anyone wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of central London.

Delightful setting any time of year though summer much more lively. Lovely walks, pubs, cafes and rowing boat hire. Lovely bridge, views and gardens.

Had a really lovely stroll from Richmond station to Ham House, the majority along the riverside. Lots going on, sponsored walks, cyclists, runners and people enjoying boating pursuits of all kinds, so there was something to look at all the way. Plenty of places to get refreshments and some very nice memorial benches to take a rest along the way. A good variety of water fowl enjoy the river but one negative point - very sad to see the debris and rubbish left by visitors along the shoreline. Please take your rubbish home or dispose of it safely and leave nature in peace and safety.

The Riverside is part of the centre of town in Richmond - there's a great promenade allowing for nice walks alongside the river Thames. It's very clean and offers many places to sit down and watch life passing by - including all the boats going up and down the rive. A beautiful place to spend some really relaxing time on a sunny afternoon. Boat trips are also available from the piers at the Riverside.

Nothing beats this place for walking by the river Thames! The river is walkable on both sides from the Richmond bridge, and for a considerable distance too I find so desired.
There are a couple of eateries right on the river front and there are rowing boats for hire
and excursion boat trips to Hampton Court.
They are worth doing but will take up an afternoon so check your timings.
Parking is an issue in Richmond and your best option is to come on the tube, or pay for parking at ' the Old Deer carpark'.Most ( if not all ) residential roads in Richmond are permit parking only.
