Although I come to the Falls of Feugh every time that I’m in the Ballater area, the rushing water over the rocks is always a treat. Surprisingly, I find the whole area has a calming effect on me. If you are really lucky, you can...More

Walked up to see the falls before leaving town. Pleasant walk, very pretty site. Easy drive from town, if you don't want to walk.

Pretty for five minutes. Not worth making a special trip but, if you are in the area, worth seeing. Nice restaurant and tea rooms next to the bridge.

So relaxing watching the river flow down the falls. This place changes by the day / season, there is always something to enjoy - the wildlife, the fish trying to get up the falls, then changes in the river, even the weather!!

Found this by chance, saw a tourist sign and wondered what it was so stopped. Did not disappoint. There was even a heron waiting patiently to catch a fish. Easy access and parking.

NO, it is not allowed. They have installed a very nice wooden heart sculpture, so that photographs can be taken with it, rather than the practice of leaving locks.

Walk over the River Dee and follow the Fettercairn road for half a mile to cross the Feugh bridge. The venue is located there.
