pretty waterfalls that are close to the road. Lots of people around so don't expect lot of peace and quiet

This really is no more than 'average' and is probably only a popular tourist attraction because you don't have to walk more than a few yards to see the falls. Overall, not really worth making a detour for

This is a beautiful spot with easy parking nearby. Try and time your visit for when the salmon are running and you will be amazed by the site of the fish fighting their way up the falls.

What an amazing phenomenon. Something truly amazing to behold, the wonders of creation marvels all around. A lovely viewing bridge and toilets and ample parking near by.

So glad they have cut those awful padlocks off the railings. Come on, this isn't Paris!! Tacky or what? The falls are thunderous after heavy rain. They're pleasant enough to watch any day but after a huge downpour they can become a mini raging torrent and well worth the visit.

we walked to the bridge to view the falls and were absolutely stunned it was truly spectacular and we saw the salmon leaping, which was a real bonus.

Showing someone around the area, and they couldnt help but be impressed - the weather was kind to us, and to see the Falls was an excellent end to a busy day

We visited on 17th August. The falls were very attractive, and at first we thought we were unlikely to see any salmon leaping. However, patience paid off, and over the course of about half an hour we saw perhaps 20 salmon leaping up the waterfalls (all of them unsuccessfully). It was a nice spot to while away a little time.... More

This is a delightful location, not far from the busy Royal Deeside town of Banchory, which has lots of wining, dining and shopping opportunities. Although the River Feugh is a tributary to the much better-known River Dee (world-famous among salmon anglers), which it joins not far downstream from this bridge, it is set in equally beautiful surroundings and the falls...
