Had a great few hours here today, parked at Bodmin general station (free parking for visitors) and took a trip out each way with our dog (a husky). Sadly no steam running today, but it's out of season, so we where just pleased that it was open! The heritage scenic diesel running was great, never seen one of these before... More

We went while children were £1 each. We took the train from bodmin to parkway and back then out to boscarne and walked to the borough for dinner and a play. A fantastic day out for the kids. Interesting carriage at the station that has information on the railways history and some models railways. Food is quite pricy but I... More

Great fun for those with long memories as well as an experience for children of today. Best value if you can afford the time to take a break, before returning on one of the legs of the journey, or spend all day travelling back and forth! In good weather you can go for countryside walks and have lunch at Boscarne... More

Lovely steam train to parkway and back, very popular car park nearly full. Staff well dressed and very friendly. Food hot and service good in cafe including prices. Lovely stream journey. Look forward to coming back again. Must see if in bodmin.

This was very enjoyable - there isn't so much to see while on the tracks although there are a couple a great views, but the station stops and watching the different trains was interesting. We did both halves of the line.

As an avid rider on heritage railways, I can safely say the Bodmin and Wenford railway ticks all the boxes. Bodmin Station is very olde worlde quaint with a lovely tearoom. From there the track forks off to the right to join the Camel Trail walkway, the locomotive runs around then returns to Bodmin before leaving on the left fork... More

We had a meal on the belle carriage which is showing its age but very quaint. The trip was very nice however because we were eating we missed some of the views. meal was ok but not over impressed for the price. We had roast beef which I feel was over done and the veg was not much better! The... More
