We had an absolutely fantastic night, thank you bodmin jail to bring a comedy night to us! Food was amazing but my only downside to the whole evening was the service, atrocious, the staff could do you so much more!

My friend and I visited here on a bright and sunny February day. The entrance and cafe area were warm enough, but once we passed through the door into the old jail, we were struck by how cold and forbidding the huge granite building was. The exhibits are housed mainly in former cells, on five floors, each of which is... More

We enjoy visiting museums, stately homes, National Trust sites etc. so this seemed to be a good place to visit. £10 seemed a fair price before we went in, and after we left, maybe a little too expensive taking into account what there is to see. There are no guides to show you around and we didn't see any staff... More

At £10 per adult it's pricey for what you get. It's a relatively short excursion, so I'd recommend popping in should you be in or around Bodmin but personally I wouldn't go out of my way to visit again. The signage is really poor, you're never quite sure which way to go. We were certain we'd missed the hanging pit... More

£10 entry for an adult Took a while to figure out how to get there because of the road works but obviously that's not the attractions fault. Enjoyed my visit with a friend. The information was brilliant and in depth. Really liked the interactive exhibit and thought the one with the ghost and information about the lady and baby in... More

This is a strange place all told. Firstly I must comment on the cost. One adult and two children for £25 is excessive. For the length of the visit the price is poor value. The prison is over a few floors but the Tower is really just a minute or two. Some parts of the exhibitions were under construction too,... More

We enjoyed our time at the jail, although macabre it was well done and interesting. The meal we had in The Governor's Hall was very nice as well

I knew Bodmin Jail was in ruins, but until I got there I did not realise that some of the jail was still intact, and the greater part of the exhibit was in this area. Many cells had life size figures in them, not pretty ones like shop mannequins, but ugly ones more like you might have seen in jail... More
