We were very impressed with the Quoit. Amazing that it is only 50 ft away from a home. But one can feel the ancient energy. And it is also extremely easy to get to with a car par steps away.

It's easy to park right next to the quoit. You only need to stop, get out of the car , take a picture and move on. Like the other quoits in Cornwall, one has to wonder who built them , and how etc. Not as...More

Came in search of some peace and good vibes, not disappointed. The stones are simply stunning! There’s a small parking area right opposite so brilliant if you don’t want to walk too far. They are tucked behind a couple of houses (how envious am I!)...More

Its one of the great hidden gems surrounding the Liskeard area (it's not located in Bodmin as the address suggests, but overlooks the village of St Cleer, at the start of the moors, about three and a half miles north of Liskeard). However, what really...More

Magnificent ancient monument, much more impressive in the flesh. Worth a look if you are in the area, or if like us, seek it out if you love Neolithic structures.

I've loved this place ever since childhood, walking here from my grandparents' home nearby. It has that magical feeling that I often get with such reminders of ancient peoples. I've sketched it and photographed it over the years, but my last visit must have been...More

Trethevy Quoit begs the question, how did they do it? An ancient burial chamber that represents a ton (pardon the pun) of work to send the departed to the nether world. Very interesting to see and ponder the questions of what motivated them and what...More

As an avid hunter of neolithisc and bronze age sites in the UK, Trevethy Quoit was on the list to see ( again). Its sheer size and the manpower that created it is awesome, and though once covered in earth its now exposed stonework does...More

A very well preserved Neolithic burial chamber in Cornwall, managed by English Heritage. The drive is an adventure in itself, on those narrow Cornish lanes. Parking is available with a few bays on the island in the middle of the intersection, on the north easterly...More
