We came here after a long day walking Hadrian's wall and instantly felt welcomed into the pub community. Whilst it isn't the prettiest of pubs, the staff and locals make up for anything it may be lacking in decor! We returned three nights running to this pub and felt very welcomed every time, as well as having a different experience each time. We've even heard that sometimes stars from Emmerdale hang out in this pub (although we cannot corroborate that!).

Called here for drinks whilst in the town of Brampton. This pub seems to be typically used by the local male population, however as it was a nice afternoon and there were chairs outside, we thought a drink in the sunshine and a little bit of "People" watching wouldn't go amiss. Beer prices reasonable, staff friendly and the inside of the pub looked clean, worth a visit when in town.

We was staying at a friend's cottage close by and came here for a drink in the day time. Bar maid was very friendly and helpful with local information dog friendly and very reasonably priced.

Great little pub, great prices, great atmosphere and chatty staff. Appears to be dog friendly but we had left our little dogs at home.

What a s###hole. Frequented by local bumpkins, one of which was an older guy with a big stick who looked up at the ceiling and howled!?
We had a drink each and felt the need to return to civilisation before the cock-fighting started......

A very tidy wet pub on the High Street. Beer kept in great condition at very reasonable prices and the service was excellent. We visited on a Haloween party night where most regulars wore fancy dress. Great atmosphere, music and food provided was a real treat

Very popular with the locals, real ales are a good price, not much in stock when we were in due to late delivery but the lovely staff Nikki was very helpful with other ales that we ended up staying out longer than anticipated.

Bar staff very accommodating, and the prices are reasonable, but the music is far too loud and conversation is all but impossible.

Spent the night in Brampton whilst walking The Wall. After visiting a great fish and chip shop we fancied a pint. Walked past this pub as there were a few workmen out side F ing and J fing so did not fancy it. Tried the other 2 pubs which weren't great, so thought we would give The Shoulder of Mutton a try. Glad we did, it was a good locals pub, a bit rough in places but had character. A very friendly lady served us good local real ale at a good price for Hadrian country. Made to feel welcome by the locals stay till closing.

Hi,
I am spending 3 days in Zurich during February with my partner, and I am planning a day trip to Mt Rigi on 27/02/15.
Looking on the SBB website, I can buy a "Z-Pass Schwyz/Zug Day Pass" for 42.40CHF each. This appears to cover the return train journey to Arth-Goldau.
I am planning to get the cogwheel railway from Arth-Goldau up to Rigi Kulm, again a return journey.
Does this above Zug Day Pass cover this journey too, or is there a better ticket I can buy to cover the journey?
Any help appreciated, thank you!
