The pub was recommended by friendly staff in the nearby Premier Inn. It advertised "traditional pub food" and provided it, so no complaints about the food. The tables though had not been cleaned recently, and were incredibly sticky. In fairness this could have been due to a shortage of staff, but what disgusted us was when a couple with a dog arrived at an adjacent table. They were carrying a bag of dog excrement and blatantly put it on the edge of their bench in full view of other diners where it remained for our entire visit. Waiting staff observed it and said nothing.
We will not return.

Great little pub in the village of Kerridge. Good spacious seating area outside and very pleasant beer.

Lovely pub that has been transformed from a fine dining establishment into a more traditional country pub.

As a country pub this place ticks all the boxes from location to authenticity

Small and comfortable with a cosy and friendly atmosphere and very friendly staff

Plenty of outdoor seating for those fine weather days.

Limited menu available along with a specials board

Being Sunday we both opted for a starter and a traditional Sunday roast which was above average in terms of presentation and quality. Very enjoyable with No complaints

The only disappointment came along with the bill for which we had been charged for drinks that we had already paid for at the bar! An honest mistake, quite possibly but the same mistake that had happened to the diners before us.

Anyway the mistake was quickly rectified although no apology given which put a slight taint on an otherwise perfect meal.

This pub has recently started doing Sunday lunch. A two or three course option is available. We tried it and was not disappointed. The beef was tender and pink. Thai fish cakes were also good and the fruit crumble was shared as portion sizes were generous. Would certainly return. They do have other meal options but no other roast meats.

Great roast beef sandwich and chips - they even brought us some gravy! Great beer and super service.

We decided to walk over to the Lord Clyde recently just for a social drink and were pleasantly surprised to find that new owners had taken over the pub. It has previously been a fine dining pub and we felt was too expensive for us.

The menu was far more basic and affordable. A friendly atmosphere and dog friendly too.

We will be returning more often now for a good pint, wine or gin and a tasty food.

The hotel I was staying at was refurbishing their restaurant and I was recommended to eat here.

I arrived after serving had finished but they went out of their way to help me.

The staff were so friendly and adjusted the menu to cater for my meat free diet.

The food was copious, fresh and tasty. Only a panini, salad, chips and onion rings but it was spot on. Too much to finish.

Thank you Lord Clyde. You were a life saver. The very kind lady behind the bar also helped me with directions to a venue to have breakfast. They could not have done more.

We took the canal boat with friends and a relative from Australia, after a short walk we were at the Lord Clyde. With drinks orders done and food on the way we were in great company and a great atmosphere. Before starters arrived some lovely bread and some tasty cod, everyone had a fab meal and a fab night . Thanks to the staff for the great service and fantastic food.

This is a good Gastropub - probably slightly on the expensive side, so probably we'll reserve it for special occasions. The bar area is quite compact and the rest of the pub area has been turned over to dinner tables. I couldn't fault the food or the wine or the service , all were very good.
