Definitely the hidden jewel in Bangor's crown. If you appreciate flora and fauna this is a must see place, the displays are amazing and you can really appreciate the hard work the staff put in.

There aren't many Walled Gardens around but this is one of the best examples, beautifully laid out with neat pathways meandering though the extremely well kept flower beds.Take one of the historic walks thru the Bangor museum and end up in this wonderful grade.

More than a little late seeing your question, but yes you can take a dog on a lead. There is a little cafe, mostly outdoor sitting and a bowl of water nearby for dogs.
