I visited her yesterday for a picnic with my 18 month old daughter. It was perfect there are picnic tables in a large green so she could safely run around. There are lots of rubbish bins also which is nice when picnicking. After we walked threw the grounds to the walled garden the walk is lovely but also easy to... More

A very old park with lots of ancient and interesting trees, some of which are named and described on little signs. There are various walks you can follow and none of them are difficult or long as the park is quite compact. A favourite place for dog walkers.

It's not the biggest park but there is a well laid out walking route with hard paths which wind their way around the area and show off the trees. If you are lucky, and don't have a dog accompanying you, you may see grey squirrels feeding on the ground and running up the tree trunks. At this time of year... More

This is a really nice place to walk away from the hustle bustle of the town centre. It has a lovely walled garden with nice plants and sculptures. There is good parking and it is also very close to Bangor railway station and bus station if you are arriving by public transport.

Large stretch of parkland next to the Town Hall building on the edge of Bangor town centre. Close to bus and train station and nearby shops. The Heritage Centre museum and cafe is nearby

I was walking from the town to the Walled Garden and marveled at the trees and peaceful green area I was walking through. It was glorious and not to be missed. The trees are huge, and ther is a ton of room to roam and be thankful you're alive.

At Castle park today in Bangor. It was still early but a wonderful warm morning with the trees rustling and the birds singing. What more could you want? Well I'll tell you. A walk up towards the end of the park behind the castle, near to the new aquatic center brings you to the walled garden which is stunning! There... More
