This enables us to use coastline that has miles of never ending flat beach for landboarding and buggying as well as the safe shallow lagoons for you to learn to kitesurf in.

Managed a last minute booking onto a kite buggy taster session for my 3 teenage sons. They had a great afternoon in a lovely location and made good progress thanks to the coaching they received. If we're back over this way I've no doubt they'll be looking to have another go or try their hand at kite-surfing. Thanks Liesa

I went on the course this week with my son aged 13 and Nephew aged 20. I have done a previous course with another company and the comparison was huge. I felt that Lisa was able to communicate exactly what needed to be done in order to have a successful day out. It's not easy having to deal with such a great age difference but she did with great skill. We were lucky with the wind conditions and very quickly we all got the hang of both flying the kite as well as using the buggy as well. We will be back to move onto the water and would recommend this company to anyone seeking a great day out. Thanks Lisa.

Booked onto the VIP 1 day course-having only done a 1 hour taster session before - by the end of the day I was up and riding! Amazing experience which would not have been possible without a fantastic coach! The instruction and equipment was first rate - Lisa really has an eye for identifying what you are doing wrong, enabling you to focus on putting it right. The equipment is tailor made for beginners - very forgiving and easy to use - giving you the best opportunity to get up and riding quickly. Aberdovey is made for kite surfing with knee deep lagoons giving a safe and calm learning area to get up to speed. If you want to get kite surfing quickly I could not recommend this co enough! I personally found that 1-1 tuition was the quickest way to progress!

I bought £180 worth of gift vouchers from this company as a present for my two sons. They tried to arrange for the lessons but Coastriders were never able to offer lessons on the dates my sons tried to book, on a number of occasions, because of adverse weather conditions. You would think that a business like this might be keen to satisfy new customers who might become regular customers in the future and who might recommend Coastriders to others. Instead, as soon as the 12 months had passed, they said the vouchers had expired and kept the money. The weather conditions were not Coastriders fault, but their feeling of entitlement to keep our money without having provided any service, other than reply to a few emails, beggars belief.

Peter H's sons, was in fact just one son who was repeatedly asked by us starting in January 2013 at the start of his voucher date to please confirm some dates to start his course with us, He was never rescheduled by us due to bad weather as he never actually booked a date with us in the first place. He was subsequently advised in August after no attempt to book that we would probably be teaching in the water until October/ November after which historically it would be too cold to continue safely running lessons in the water. As stated we are open all year and are not only a kitesurf school we also teach land kite activities, run holidays abroad and have equipment sales, obviously November to March generally is extremely cold and unsafe to run lessons in the water in the UK. To be fair it would beggar belief to me that anyone would actually consider wanting to get in the water during this period All our vouchers have a 12 month validity on them unlike many other activity providers who only offer 6 months, we do this to account for the fact that part of the UK year will be un-teachable for water sports, the duration and need to book in advance was made perfectly clear to Peter H on the purchase of the voucher. Whilst on this occasion Peter H feels he had a bad experience with us, we operated within our terms and made these perfectly clear prior to purchase, we feel it is only fair that we apply the same terms to every client without exception. Peter H's son had more than enough opportunity to book his lesson and was given plenty of notice as to our pending end of water season, unfortunately he simply failed to allocate any time for his lessons and his voucher expired.

I was appalled at the poor level of customer service shown by Coastriders. After receiving 2 days tuition for a 21st birthday present I tried on numerous occasions to book on to redeem the vouchers only to be to given a range of excuses as to why they weren't able to teach at that time. "Open 7 days a week all year round" as it states on the website is a completely lie. From about mid October to February I was told I couldn't book any tuition as they don't teach during these months. Furthermore when i then tried to redeem the vouches during the 'kitesurfing season' I was told my voucher had expired and was now void meaning I lost about £180. Given this level of service I would not recommend Coastriders to any one if this is how they treat their customers.

Angus H first contacted us in 2011! to arrange a kitesurf lesson, during this period he never actually got around to booking anything, subsequently his Father bought him a voucher in Jan 2012. Angus was immediately emailed and asked for some advance dates for his lesson, to which we got no reply. A few more emails passed backwards and forwards but no actual dates were booked. Angus was never cancelled due to bad weather or excuses as he states in his review as no dates were ever booked by him. Angus actually emailed us in August to ask when our season would be finishing for the year and was duly informed that it would probably be early November but had in fact been October the year before due to weather conditions. Armed with this information Angus again failed to make any attempt to book with us. No further attempt was made to book until last minute well into an extremely cold November which I can only guess most people would already know that water sports would be unsafe to pursue. I object to the fact that Angus feels that our statement of being open all year round is a lie, as I have already stated in the same issue that his Father has left a review about “ As stated we are open all year and are not only a kitesurf school we also teach land kite activities, run holidays abroad and have equipment sales, obviously November to March generally is extremely cold and unsafe to run lessons in the water in the UK. To be fair it would beggar belief to me that anyone would actually consider wanting to get in the water during this period” Our level of service is incredibly high as can be seen on previously reviews and it is unfortunate that Angus and his Father felt it necessary to both leave negative reviews about us, when in fact it was Angus failure to book a date within the advised timeframe that resulted in the expiry of his voucher.
