An attractive feature on the seafront that appeals to all generations at any time of the year. The setting is well designed, and well lit with attractive quotes from the shows with which Eric is associated. Car parking, and toilets adjacent this feature sets Morecambe apart

You can't go to Morecambe and not have a photo taken with Eric, it's part of the day out. You do have to wait patiently as all other visitors have the same idea.

Am a big Morecambe and Wise fan so finally getting the chance to see the statue was a big moment. Couldn't resist getting a photo with him in the "Bring me Sunshine" pose. Lots of interesting information about him and the show in the area below the statue. Well worth a visit.

This is a very fitting tribute to the legendary Eric Morecambe, comic genius and naturally funny man both on and off the stage. The statue, by sculptor Graham Ibbetson, has a central position on the promenade, overlooking Morecambe bay and the distant hills of the Lake District. Naturally he is facing the town of his birth. It was a lovely day... More

This is a must see if you're visiting Morecambe. The statue is in a great position with dear old Eric silhouetted against the Morecambe Bay skyline looking as if he's just about to dance straight down the steps to his very own stage! There are wonderful quotes from Eric on the pavement to make you smile my favourite always having... More

we stopped off on the way to cumbria, i had always wanted to see the statue. Morecambe seafront is great, lovely, great views, lovely friendly cafes and tea shops (toilets are 20p). The statue has a fairly constant stream of visitors, and everyone was really friendly taking tunrs for photo's. Morecambe has free parking along the prom too!

Good opportunity for a photograph with the almost life dive statue of Eric Morecambe. Easy access and brings a smile to your face. Good views of the bay behind. Could do with some more information on the man.

I just love Morecambe and Wise and I've wanted to visit this statue since it was unveiled. Plus our youngest son is called Ernie, so we couldn't pass up the opportunity of an Eric and Ernie photo opportunity! It's a lovely statue, in a great position and we especially liked all the quotes on the pavement in front of it... More
