We’re just back from an amazing fishing trip with four brothers! Our skipper Nigel invited us aboard and after a quick debrief he took us out to sea. We weren’t sure if our daughter was going to enjoy this, but Nigel got her involved immediately and before she had a chance to think about it she had a rod in the water! The first spot we were taken we soon caught a load of mackerel. Then a bit further out to see if we could catch a bass, but no luck on that front. Instead, our 6 year old daughter caught 4 baby sharks! Nigel was fun, friendly and informative.. telling us about the history, geology and wildlife of the area, and a few funny tales. King of the nautical dad joke! We came away with 12 mackerel in all, and had the best day. We did the 2 hour trip... Can’t recommend enough!

Looking for something to do in lockdown Saundersfoot over Easter, I booked a morning 2 hour trip with 2 sceptical teenagers horrified at having to be at the harbour for 9.15am!! I may as well have said 5am, the horror and disgust of it!! Jumping onto the little fishing boat and sailing to 3 different spots, a quick lesson on how the rods worked and we were fishing. We were slightly out of season for the mackeral and herring but we caught lots of dogfish sharks of all different sizes and my ungrateful offspring had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed it, particularly having to paddle back onto the beach as the tide had gone out.

Nigel is great with the younger crew members. I decided to allow my twin boys aged 4 to go after seeing how safe the trip was with my older children aged 11 and 14. On our first trip we caught lots of dogfish and one mackerel. We ate the one mackerel between 6 of us later that day. The boat is well equipped, clean and comfortable. There is a WC for emergencies. The harbour is tidal so worth planning at high tide, I understand low tide tours are not an issue. There is a walrus and some dolphins in the area. If i had my way, i would leave the kids behind, invite mates and smoke cigars and drink ice cold cider whilst enjoying catching a few fish, but i guess thats just a fantasy for another life.

Went on a 2 hour fishing trip (bargain at £20 each all in) with friendly, relaxed skipper Nigel on the Four Brothers out of Saundersfoot today. We had a lovely time (the weather helped, calm sea and sunny). Didn’t see Wally the Walrus in Tenby and bit too early for mackerel but everyone on the trip (7 in total) caught at least one dogfish. Lots of help for novices and a lovely time!
