About
A well established family run activity centre just outside Cardiff, with over 22 years experience of providing adventure activities for all ages and occasions! We specialise in Quad Biking from 7yo - adults. We have 340 acres of wild farmland to quad bike around and a dedicated children's circuit for the younger ones!We also have Archery, Clay Pigeon Shooting and Laser Clay Shooting on our farm. We also run Gorge Walking in the Brecon Beacons, teambuilding/corporate days and we have lots of educational activities for schools/colleges/youth groups. We can cater for any size group.We're based just outside Cardiff, not far from the town of Pontypridd. We can help with transport arrangements, food, other activities and we can help with accommodation if you want to come and stay in the area. We also run a sister company Wales Activity Breaks, where we package activity days out, activity holidays, stag weekends, hen weekends, corporate away days, teambuilding residentials and much more. There's not a lot we can't arrange, please don't hesitate to get in touch with any enquiry!

Lovely date idea!

Booked quad biking for my partners birthday as a couple. Had great fun, the instructor was very informative and ensured everyone knew what they was doing and how to work the bikes before riding. Had plenty of practice before setting off on the tracks. Lovely views and scenery. Only down side was you only get about 20 minutes out of the hour on the tracks which is disappointing for the price and time you get. Would attend again but would much prefer to have longer being able to explore and ride.

Top notch experience 100/10!

Having a fun-loving , adventurous family, often pose a challenge entertaining them and of course you have to think about how much you have to spend.

Taff Valley has an excellent venue, the staff's attitude and how they care for us during the quad bike, clay pigeon shooting and archery experience for our daughter's 10th birthday absolutely spot on! This place reminded us how fun the outdoors is, and despite the pouring rain on the 19/08/2020, we didn't mind at all. The picturesque view, the off road experience, the hospitality and of course the bacon roll is to die for. Well worth the money as well, as these type of experiences are those money can't buy! To add all to these, they observe good hygiene, social distancing and is very mindful of precautions due to COVID-19.

This experience is well worth it, adults, kids and the birthday girl definitely had a blast and we're already planning to book other activities and quad biking once again for the next year. Top notch experience, will very much recommend this place to everyone! Please do no leave Wales without visiting this beautiful and fun place!

A great day out

Large group of us attended and everyone enjoyed it. Quadbiking, clay pigeon shooting and archery - all loads of fun and having a small cafe on site was great too with hot food and drinks available.

Would give it 5/5 but found one of the quad biking instructors condescending while I was trying to sort out an issue during the pre-ride briefing. Same happened to another member of the group. He had a very stand-off, grumpy attitude. Perhaps we caught him on an off day? The other instructor at the back of our convoy was brilliant and very helpful.

Otherwise, all the team were really friendly and helpful and highly recommend a visit. The activities were so much fun!

Do note, the lane up the hill to the centre is narrow in places.

Enjoyed the experience but wouldn't return only because didn't get enough time on the quads.

Went for nephews birthday today. Instructor's were great and it was in a very safe controlled environment only criticism I have is paid for an hour on the quads and the safety guide was part of the hour so in total 20 mins safety briefing and 40 minutes actually on the quads so the boys were disappointed they weren't riding for as much time. I think this should be improved as £40 is alot of money and we weren't made aware of this beforehand. Otherwise the experience was great just not sure about the value for money.

Great day out

Had a great day last Saturday for my youngest sons 40th birthday. Six of us started with archery, Grace was a great instructor, very patient and funny. We went on to the clay shooting with a natural standup comedian whose name was either John if nobody got hurt or Llewelyn if things went badly. I thoroughly recommend both of these activities and the Taff Valley Centre great fun and very good people

Great Experience

The farm was easy to find following the sat nav and they had decent car park space. They also had a little shack to buy snacks and drinks with outside benches and there were also toilet facilities. The younger staff were polite and okay but didn’t really talk to any of us customers much except for Hopkin who I believe was running the business. Hopkin made small talk with everyone and was quite funny in my opinion. He does like to have a bit of banter so take what he says with a pitch of salt if you are easily offended. Hopkin was very thorough in his training on operating the quad bikes and made sure that everyone understood by quizzing everyone. He also took us through warm up exercises doing figures of eight in a safe way. While travelling through each section/field we would stop and Hopkin would check that everyone was good and happy and would give details of upcoming trail. There were amazing views and lush green fields.

Best quad biking experience yet

Four of us including myself decided to go quad biking the weekend just gone. I have to say, I've done quad biking a few times before and this was by the far the best quad biking experience I've had. The host/instructor were friendly and gave clear instructions on how to operate the bikes, tips and risks. Only downside is the fact half of the group took the wrong turn when trying to locate the centre. However, they were patient and waited for us to attend. Other than that I would definitely go again and recommend it to any adrenaline junky or any quad biking first timers.

Visited with my 8 year old nephew and my son and his friend both 9 ..they went quad biking and did archery ... the instructors we had were both super professional .. and we're very safety conscious,, Always a good thing !.. the archery instructor was so patient with them and the boys had so much fun and loads of laughs can't recommend the staff and place enough .. we will definitely be going back!! Big well done to all here ! 👏

Highlight of the holiday

Brilliant afternoon spent Quad Biking & Axe Throwing. My 14 & 12 year old boys loved it. Really patient & supportive instructors helped my youngest along & at his own pace on the quad bikes which helped quell his nerves. They supplied all the gear too, helmets, gloves & boots. Muddy, wet & fun!

The instructors had same care & attention with axe throwing, John was a blast, making axe throwing just as much fun as the quad bikes. Lots of encouragement for my wife & great rugby banter too!

Nice pies, scones & Welsh cakes too!

Highly recommended! Highlight of the holiday! We’ll be back...

Short Notice Quality Quading

Never failed to have a great time quad biking here. They kindly agreed a ride with less than 2 hours warning and had a brilliant time. Great instruction and Lew the instructor, he gauges your ability and adjusts the ride to suit. Amazing value for money but most of all so much fun. Have never had a bad time. Thanks again all.
