I travelled with Bruce for 6 days all around Scotland, since the itinerary we crafted together included castles, cathedrals and filming locations in the low and highlands, I also wanted to visit the Isle of Skye, so that was added as well. The planning went easy, Bruce is very flexible and he adjusted the trip to my needs and wishes, so in the end we also visited places that were not listed before. As I don't own a driver's license, this tour was the only (and of course) best way to get to all these remote beautiful places, that without a car would be impossible to reach. He was a great host, showed me and told me lots of historical, cultural and geographical facts about his country along the way. He was always helpful, kind, easygoing and punctual, everything went as coordinated. He drives you to the different spots and will let you take your time to walk around, take pics, and do the tours by yourself or with a guide. (He doesn't do the tour guiding, and the tickets to the different attractions are not included in the final price). In our arrangement he was also in charge of booking the hotels, which were up to 3* or more, so the chosen locations were great. As we travelled in winter, we got discounts from several hotels, which he reimbursed the very first day cash! If renting a car is not an option, this is definitely the best way to discover Scotland and its beauty! :)

Hi Florencia, It was my complete pleasure touring you around The Highlands, Skye, and the Lowlands of Scotland, to your chosen destinations, and then some. I wish you well with your career and hope that you may return to My Caledonia sometime for a tour to other great sights and locations. Your friend in Caledonia, Bruce.

My husband and I spent a week traveling Scotland with Bruce in 2017. We gave Bruce a very broad list of interests and he did the rest. Made the holiday absolutely the best! We so enjoyed every site, restaurant, hotel and Bruce's vast knowledge of history and trivia! This year, we returned with 4 of our grown children for Hogmanay. Bruce gave us some tips and structured a full day tour of St Andrews for us. This was our request. Again, Bruce made the day and our trip by his courtesy, kindness and knowledge of all things Cadelonia. Brand new Range Rover was comfortable for all (3 over 6 feet in height). Don't look anywhere else. We have recommended Bruce's Scotland Tours to anyone who has asked including a brother who hired Bruce last year. He, or his son, Keith, are your best tour guides and friends in Scotland. He will design trips all over Europe and we are going to plan a WWI & WWII battlefields tour with Bruce. This is THE tour company. They are your friends. (photos are from 2017 tour)

From the time he collected our family of three in Edinburgh and drove us around the beautiful Scottish countryside Keith has been a treasure trove of information. A wonderful story teller, he taught us so much about the unique Scottish landscape, its geography and extensive history. He also accommodated with a smile our various last-minute changes to the itinerary, and swung by a few extra distilleries once he learned how interested my husband was in scotch. Soft spoken and good humoured, Keith gave us our space while sightseeing, and was always on hand to help or keep us company when needed. Its been a pleasure, thank you, Keith.

We took a four day trip in a group of three, off-season to the highlands, including the Isle of Sky with Bruce. Note, I’d recommend off-season, still lots to see but without hordes of other tourists to contend with. Driving up to 200 miles a day, Bruce drove us around the Scottish highlands in the warmth and comfort of a Landrover Discovery with Wifi. Many of the roads were one track, undulating and with sharp bends that could only be navigated smoothly by someone with Bruce’s experience. We had none of the issues of getting lost, trying to find parking, or missing off the beaten road attractions that we would undoubtedly have experienced had we gone it alone. We didn’t have to do a thing. Bruce took care of the itinerary, hotels, and logistics. As we travelled he described the history of the area, monuments we were passing, or attractions we were visiting. His itinerary included lochs, castles, beaches, with the odd stop off for a quick scenic photo of beautiful landscapes that he thought we’d like at a pace that suited us – with ample time for lunches and a walk around villages and towns to pick up souvenirs. Bruce was knowledgable, engaging, down to earth, and kept up conversation throughout the trip. He left us to visit sites and met us promptly when we’d finished. I thoroughly recommend and have been recommending his services already.

We had a fantastic 3-day tour of the Highlands (and the Isle of Skye) with Bruce! He is a wonderful guide. We had a flight delay that consumed nearly a half-day of our tour time. Bruce was able to rearrange our itinerary to ensure we saw everything we planned! Additionally, he knew loads of great vantage points for photos. We had a very ambitious itinerary (our doing) so we spent a fair amount of time in the car with Bruce, and I can attest that he is a great conversationalist. Additionally, his car is a very comfortable Land Rover—it was wonderful for sightseeing. The accommodations were lovely. We wholeheartedly recommend touring with Bruce!
