Did not open on time so had to queue outside. Very basic breakfast ie no pastries, toast, croissant etc. Very average sausage/egg/bacon and just 2 cereal choices. No-one cleared the table (we were there for 1.5 hours). I had expected much more. In my opinion a breakfast at Pret would have been much nicer and miles cheaper.

Appalling experience from start to finish really.
Actually wasn’t expecting a great deal, this being a payable entry lounge but my even my low expectations were not even met.
Arrived and told to come back later as our flight was delayed. Only allowed in 3 hours before flight.
Came back and queue to get in was enormous and didn’t move for ages. Took at least 30 minutes to queue to get into a lounge !!!
Once inside it was filled in excess of capacity. Nowhere to sit at all and had to stand and wait for any seating space.
Very only queues for food which continually ran out.
Food and spillages all over the place. Long queues at bar, all beer warm due to large parties drinking everything in sight.
No tables cleared in the whole 3 hours we were in there.
Basically massively under-staffed, over sold and quality of everything poor to non existent
If you want lounge experience, pay for a proper lounge that provides service level that reflects price
Will never visit again

NO1 LOUNGES A restaurant at the airport where we had a pleasant time. The plane was delayed and we had a meal. You can also order drinks and ice cream there. We recommend it to all travelers.

Selection of food was terrible, let’s add to to that that most of the food options were empty or missing. Dirty plates, no cutlery, no glasses and it was less than 30% full.
Experience today wasn’t worth £5 each let alone full price, I would avoid at all costs.

I have used this lounge many times and in the summer full of tourists, some demanding others wonderful. Pre book. This time very good, a supervisor call Maria holding all together. What ever they pay her it’s not enough.

Amy,Charlotte and Carlo were great! I feel due to the nature of how busy it was they could of been more staff present. However they were super quick with all orders etc. Fantastic service will be back.

Only one person serving at bar. Very poor selection of food. No bread for soup, only one type of cheese, no biscuits to go with it . Main dishes all spicy. No potato dishes of any kind. very disappointing. Will not be using this again

After reading negative reviews I was apprehensive about visiting.
However, they cope very well with a busy airport and moaning Brits ( I am one ).
Seating was good, clean toilets and food was fine.
Staff were exceptional and fresh and they deserve a 5* in honesty,
My last visit to Singapore business lounge at Changi got 1*
So can compare and I feel write constructive comments

You are talking three months in advance planning here - which is good if I were your partner but bad if I were running a place you are going to
Do not expect anything spectacular - food is standard lounge fare - but at least there is a choice of snacks fruit and soups that are quite safe
If your partner is really really fussy take them to one of many restaurants at LGW and let them chose what they prefer
If it is not only about food - No 1 lounge is very pleasant and you will spend some nice time while waiting for your departure

I have booked into No.1 lounge at Gatwick North. Is it on the same level as the departure gates?

Hi, the lounge is air-side after security in the departure gate area. Depending on which gate you are at they are mostly on the same level but there are some that the bridge.
Departure gates are usually a 15/20 minute walk from the lounge.
