5 star Experience! I had the most amazing 15,000 ft skydive here on 29th August! I loved every second. The whole team are fantastic. My dive was cancelled on the Friday due to weather but as I had traveled far for the weekend they squeezed me in for the Saturday and it was glorious. The safety brief was thorough and made me feel confident to bump up my package from 7k to 15k, I’m so glad I did. Very accommodating for spectators. My instructor Ben put me at ease and I felt completely safe at all times. The jump was incredible, the free fall was such an amazing feeling and Ben was interactive and reassuring. I was able to steer the parachute and have some fun with it before a safe landing. I was buzzing! The free beer or bubbles was a bonus too! I can’t recommend this place enough! I can’t wait to do this again! Thank you! I privately raised £760 for RNLI Southend

I did a tandem jump on 10th Oct, which was a 40th birthday gift. I would never have booked to do it myself but it was the greatest thing I have ever done!
I was strapped to Neil who helped calm my nerves and talked to me through the whole thing, up and down. It was the most exhilarating, exciting, adrenaline rush I have ever experienced. I cannot thank Neil enough for making it such an amazing experience start to finish.
I read one review before my jump which moaned about the waiting around but whoever that was clearly hadn’t read the info you get sent beforehand and wasn’t as nervous and excited as me. I arrived at 8 signed in, my kids and other half had a lovely breakfast in the aviator cafe (I was too nervous to eat), I had the safety brief while the kids had a wander around looking at the aircraft and then joining me in the Skydive Buzz main building/cafe. We watched others getting ready, the plane taking off and then the first group floating down, the kids did some colouring whilst I had a coffee and before I knew it I was getting ready to go and meeting the lovely Neil. I cannot fully express what an amazing experience it was and if I ever have the spare money I’ll be doing it again. The buzz part of Skydive buzz is extremely apt because it’s been over 24 hours now and I am still buzzing. Grateful that it all went well and we had great weather and most of all chuffed that I did it!
I was so nervous beforehand and fixated on the risk but now that I’ve done it I cannot recommend it highly enough. 😁

The skydive was amazing; all of the instructors were so friendly, enthusiastic and put you at ease right away! Big shout out to Neil and Ben, who were so nice and chatty on the way up and made it an extra special experience by ensuring myself and my boyfriend exited the plane one after another and also were next to each other on the descent!
However, I feel as though some of the company ‘policies’ let the whole experience down as a whole. The first being that you have to pay £10 extra per person to guarantee being in the same plane as those you have booked the sky dive with. This makes no sense at all - the weight restriction was explained to us, which I understand, but surely if you have made a group booking it’s very obvious you want to go onto the same plane together and therefore I think this should be included in the price of the ticket.
Secondly, we were told on arrival that a face mask or snood was compulsory, so we had to pay £10 for a snood each, which was then not required or used for the skydive. This therefore felt like a complete waste of money.
Thirdly, we also had to pay an additional £18 each for insurance - this is fine, and completely acceptable, but why not again include this in the entire booking fee instead of leaving it until arrival?
This resulted in an additional cost of £80 on the day in total which wasn’t ideal.
The photos that were taken by the instructors were brilliant - but again, charging £80 for a selection of photos, tell me that isn’t extortionate? I’d have been more than happy to pay £20, but having already forked out £80 on the day, another £80 was not going to happen. We also asked whether it was possible to purchase one photo as there was one we particularly liked and it would’ve been great to have a visual memory of the day, but we were told this was not possible.
Ultimately, the actual skydive was fantastic and I could not fault the instructors, but I think skydive buzz should consider the above for the future!

Thank you for your review, and we're so glad you enjoyed your experience. We will pass your message on to Neil and Ben.
Skydiving is a 'tandem' sport, just you and your instructor. Most skydiving schools in the UK would not offer the option of a group boarding pass. Unfortunately, without charging the addition £10 per person for a group boarding pass, we would not be able to offer group boarding. Not only does this cover us if putting two people up together means we must load the aircraft light, but most people come in groups and we would not be able to load the aircraft if everyone wanted to jump together.
The insurance cost of £18.74 if for British Skydiving. It is compulsory in the UK and is stated on any voucher or booking confirmation as well as being on our terms and conditions. We do ask that this is paid two weeks in advance of the skydive.
The Instructor-cam photo package is an optional extra, and one which we feel is very competitively priced (most skydiving centres charge £115+ for this option).
If possible, could you please contact us with regards to the snoods. These are compulsory and we would like to follow up on this matter.
Kind regards,
Skydive Buzz Crew

I have wanted to Skydive for as long as I can remember. Skydive buzz came up & after a little research I was sold. Am very pleased to report, THEY DID NOT DISSAPOINT!
Literally from the moment my wife & I walked in we were made to feel welcome. Greeted by Roo it was also her that checked my documents & had a brief initial chat with us.
After a short wait ( & a quick coffee) I went through to attend the safety brief. I can't remember the gentleman's name who led it but, he was friendly, knowledgeable, articulate & set people at ease. After the safety brief (approx 30 mins) we went to meet our instructors.
Although everyone genuinely was helpful & friendly, I lucked out as my instructor (Ritchie) & I hit it off immediately. I wasn't nervous at all but if I had been, I'm sure his friendly demeanor & easy to get along with personality would have done the job to calm me down. I got kitted up & Ritchie went over the safety buts again & gave a run down of what to expect.
Needless to say, the whole thing was exhilarating & amazing!!!! I know I will be returning for more jumps in the future!
I would recommend paying a bit extra & doing the 15000ft jump as it is well worth it. Also, either the photo/ video package (both if budget allows) as you'll want to remember this day.
Literally the only thing I can fault them on was the coffee was pretty bad. Tbh ill even forgive that as, the day was literally perfect. I can't praise the staff highly enough, professional, friendly & safety conscious. Its a no brainer.........what are you waiting for!!!!????

I did my my third skydive here in August 2017. From arrival to leaving, the experience is one I will never forget. Check in was straightforward and swift and the training was done in an informative and humorous way. At every stage you are made to feel at ease. This may have been my third skydive but it was done to make it feel like my first. The enthusiasm of the staff is infectious and makes you eager to get up there.
As for the jump itself, the moment you exit the plane is one that is almost impossible to describe but when I've told other people about it I've used the word 'breathtaking'.
Even when you have made it back down to earth the service doesn't stop, a little bus takes you from the airfield back to the base and you receive a certificate for your endeavours. I would recommend having a DVD made of your special day aswell, it is such a brilliant memento of a special day.

After many stops & starts due to covid & clouds I FINALLY got to chuck myself out of a perfectly good plane. I didn't overthink what I was going to do, but can't deny feeling a bit queasy once I arrived & it was now really real, the staff are really laid back, calming & friendly, once I started doing the safety talk & getting dressed my queasyness left. I was the first jumper on the first plane. It was an amazing experience & I would highly recommend it, I did the 15000ft & will more than likely do it again which isn't something I had considered before jumping, it was always intended to be a one off tick on things I wanted to do. I highly recommend doing the 15,000 it goes so quick it seems a shame to do any less, also the video, may seem expensive but actually it's priceless, makes me smile every time I watch it. Family are also allowed to be there when you touch down. Thank you guys it was amazing

Very sad to see that everyone else seems to have had a positive experience with Skydive Buzz apart from us.
I originally purchased two skydives for my partners 30th Birthday back in December 2018 for our jump to be early February 2019. Since then we have booked to go 6 times and unfortunately, due to weather conditions it has been cancelled every time which has been quite disappointing.
We have booked days off work which resulted in no jump and I have tried to book on other dates via the website but they did not have availability for the dates we were free.
It has become a chore to try and "get it done". When I purchased the skydives we were both very excited but recently we were only rebooking to jump because it had been paid for and not because we actually want to still do it.
As you can imagine, this was a lot of money that I paid out and for no goods or services. We asked what Skydive Buzz could do in way of some sort of refund given the circumstances and there was no cooperation on this at all. In fact, I waited weeks for a reply and had to send a second email to chase a response. We phoned the office and was promised a return call the next day, it has been a week and still nothing.
We are aware that the weather is beyond the control of Skydive Buzz but felt like the lack of compromise was greedy and unfair. I am £330 out of pocket and I want people to be aware of this before committing to a purchase from this company.

Hi Lauren,
Thanks for your review. All feedback is very important to us and we're sorry you're no longer looking forward to your skydive.
Unfortunately skydiving is a very weather dependent sport and we are unable to offer refunds. As a goodwill gesture we have tried to give you a few options by offering you a free name change or an extended re-booking period.
No money has been lost and you are still more than welcome to take us up on either offer, we would love you to come and skydive with us. Additionally we gave you the option to book for this weekend as the weather is perfect.
We hope to hear from you soon,
Skydive Buzz

An amazing experience!! Quite literally breath taking! We were briefed and prepared and made to feel safe, while at the same time the instructors did not overwhelm us in the sense of heightening any fears we may have had. It was 15,000ft of pure bliss, with laughs and excitement from the ground to the air, meaning there was no space for any nerves to take control. Truly an incredible time with an incredible team of staff and instructors!
Allowing us to wear our charity T-shirt’s over our jumpsuits also allowed us the perfect opportunity to raise awareness of the charity we were jumping for!!
The camera man was also incredible- the photos and film came out so good and will be something I will always cherish!

Worth every penny! The guys there were very professional. It was a birthday present for 15000ft for my boyfriend who has has it on his bucket list. The airfield is clearly laid out and if anyone has a thing for planes then this is perfect. There was a bit of a wait due to cloud but they had made it clear beforehand that this was a possibility and laid out clear instructions for every eventuality in the forms they send beforehand.
If you don't want to do the photo package they do take pictures as you go down and you can collect them for £49. The perfect way to remember the experience, my boyfriend is already talking about doing it again.

My friend and I decided to raise money for a local charity by ‘taking the leap’ and doing a 15,000ft tandem skydive, and omg what an experience. Right from the welcome and the briefing to the ‘we’ll see you again soon’ we felt so relaxed and comfortable.
The instructors demonstrated what was going to take place for the jump, answering any questions we had or calming our nerves down which made us feel safe straight away.
The tandem jump itself was outstanding and the views were impeccable. So many emotions were felt that day and I’m so glad that I have completed it and have the photos and videos to remember the experience.
Would absolutely love to do it again and make more memories :)
Thank you for this experience once again.

Hi, as it’s my first time I would love for my jump to be recorded. Is there any options available where I can have a go pro recording my jump? Is there any costs for this service that I need to be aware, so I can be prepared in advance?
Look forward to the response!
Written October 27, 2020
You are not allowed to take your own go pro but Skydive Buzz offer the option of having your jump recorded by one of their team. There is an addition cost for this which you’d have to check with them but it’s over £100 so outside of my budget. If you don’t have the video option you’ll find that the instructor you’re strapped to has a go pro on his wrist and will take photos throughout which you can buy when you get down. Off the top of my head it was about £80 for these photos. The team are really helpful though so if you want a more definitive answer just give them a call. You’ll love it!

Hi, I noticed some reviews mentioned they could choose pictures and order at £69 per set. When I called to book a camera person they said it was £140 for either pictures or video. £180 for both. Which I feel is really expensive. Was this different on the day? Are there any offers on if leave it until the day? I've paid deposits for cameraman.
Written March 2, 2017
Hi,
Thanks for your question.
We are occasionally able to offer Handycam. This is very different to having a separate cameraman. Only very few of our instructors can do Handycam. It is a wrist mounted Gopro.
The photo or video package that you have is another person jumping out of the plane with you. He has both an SLR camera and a HD camcorder attached to his helmet, offering a far higher standard of footage. He flies solely around you.
If you were to leave it to the day, we may not be able to offer either type of filming.
Also, if the handycam images do not come out very well (which often happens) you get a refund, whereas the cameraman footage is guaranteed to be of the highest standard, or you would get to jump again!
Kind regards,

I was wondering how people that are scared of heights found their experience here? In terms of if the instructors calmed your nerves? I want to do a charity skydive and tick this off my bucket list at the same time, and although I have a habit of just getting on with things I'm scared of, I will of course be very nervous in the plane so wanted to know if this was something they're happy with and good at managing!

It was so great I think I just might jump again.
The more I think about it the more amazing it is. I mean 15,000ft! That's such a long way up.
Wonder how long it would take me to train to be an instructor
