Impressive.

This was once the famous hub of Southport, with department stores etc. Much of it declined over the years but it is now in full revival and is beautifully adorned with flowers and lights around the trees, providing a glorious spectacle by day and night. As well as a good selection of shops, there are many bags and eateries, most with outdoor seating, providing that continental vibe.

Pleasurable walk, even better at night

Whilst its not the vibrant street shopping visit it used to be, its still a nice walk with some lovely cafes, bars etc. Looks amazing at night when all the lights are on.

Had better days

I used to think Lord Street was the nicest shopping boulevard in Lancashire, now it is lined with empty shops or charity shops. Still a pleasant walk but certainly lost its grandeur.

Not what it was .

Not so long ago Lord Street was one of the must go destinations in Southport, used to love the vibe down this great Victorian walkway ,beautiful shops, nice cafe's and restaurants, there was always a special vibe ,on my latest visit Lord Street looked a bit run down ,some of the big shopping retail outlets gone ,empty premises, not very inviting, we went a craft beer bar which was good and a cafe which was ok but other than that it was average, the council needs to wake up and pour some money and energy into Lord Street, its a major tourist attraction slowly dying ,it needs sorting out and soon.
Let's see what the future brings .

Sorry Lord Street, you are probably now in a state of no return.

Sorry to say Lord Street is still declining, once the street to go to, with its magnificent Victorian canopied facade, is in a a state of no return. All the main shops have gone, it’s a mixture of charity shops, coffee shops, jewellers etc. Ok this happens in other towns and cities, but something should have been done sometime ago, as it was one of Southport's main attractions.

Was booked at the Bold hotel but got transferred to the Lord Street hotel and then the dates got muddled bit it was all sorted very efficiently. Staff are excellent. Fire alarm went off one night but the night receptionist handled it very well.
Breakfast is taken over the road and due to covid is not a buffet but the food was delicious.
Room very well furnished and bed comfy. Bathroom was beautiful.
Thank you to all the staff at both locations.

We always enjoy going to chez moi. Its got to be one of the best restaurants in southport. There was 6 of us booked in. The menu as always is very varied. We all had different and each one really enjoyed the food. As always outstanding. The staff are always helpful and friendly. We just hope it will survive the difficult time we're going through.

Each side very different, one seems to be allocated to Church Buildings, Supermarket, Atkinson - Musem/library other shopping, tree lined which is very nice but at at certain times leads to it being slippery and leafy. Very pleasant.

Poor Lord Street : (

So sad! When I was a child in the late 80’s / 90’s Lord Street was synonymous with high end shopping but with Debenhams gone & Beales soon to go it’s just so sad. The discount book store was lovely but again, a discount book shop on Lord Street?! The Master Barbers had a fab window display & great service too. Good to see Rebbecca’s and the other jewelry shop still there too but other than that just so sad! Business rates being too high I assume?
