We took our grandson, who is 5 years old to the Model Railway Village last Thursday. What a good decision on our part. He thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. We were given a quiz to complete and also a task to find how many fairies are hidden in the village. Our grandson loved it and we ended up going around... More

The kids enjoyed it, very peaceful. Adds up though at £15 for a family. It would be better if it wasn't as expensive. Lots of things to do nearby.

The children loved it and so did we.Made interesting by being offered a quiz on entering ie spot the fairies, wheres bob the builder etc which made children look at the railway.Value for money on a family ticket.Cheaper than one ride on the funfair

You have to pay before you can eat at this place. Compared to the SMEC site down Rotten Row, exciting it is not. The houses are just painted boxes...yawn. My kids quickly got bored.

A lovely oasis amongst the busy park. Staff are lovely. The grounds are beautifully kept. The quiz keeps everyone occupied. The cafe is very nice. Will definitely return in my childminding role.

Not bad for what it is but it probably will not blow you away. The place would be great for kids but as a train enthusiast I went as well, the displays are nice and there are quite a few different trains. Admission is a little pricey but you may as well go while you are there.

The village was highly entertaining. There are plenty vantage points to see all the trains and I and my family where not disappointed. I would recommend this to trainlovers and all others. The fun family quiz is a blast and really helps you draw in the beauty of the village. What really made this visit special was staff, jean and... More

What a brilliant set up this is, ideal for young & old alike, especially if you're young at heart. We really enjoyed this site & managed to speak to the owner, who was a very accommodating gentleman. There is a quiz you can enter, with a chance of wining a couple of prizes, but it's more a bit of fun... More
