Great Course and fabulous hospitality
Oct 2021
Just returned from a trip for 13 of us toTenby Golf Club for 3 days of golf and fun, staying in the Dormie houses. Staff including Lee (catering) and Rhys (Pro shop) could not have done more. We had a meal for all on the first night and had a fine, good value 3 course dinner.
The Dormies were basic but cosy and clean with en-suites.
The challenging weather was the only negative but we did have one day of good weather when we found out what an excellent course Tenby is.

A real challenge of golf

A really interesting and attractive links course. As it was our first time of playing here we found many shots were totally blind so full of surprises!! Probably need to play it a few times to work out some of the approaches. So many humps, bumps, slopes and deep rough to negotiate.
Slightly disappointing at the end that we could not find anyone to serve us a well deserved drink so resorted to driving into town to a pub.

A lovely course

We recently visited Tenby for a 60th birthday golf tour. The dates had to be changed on 4 occasions due to Covid and the Professional Rhys was so patient and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed the day, playing a very good l8nks course. The holes are very varied , interesting and exciting. The Staff made us feel very welcome. would definitely recommend this course.

West Wales golf at its finest.

what a great golf course. Pure joy to play in a strong wind with challenging holes and spectacular views. we stayed in the cabins at the rear of the club house and although they were small they were warm and clean. the course was in very good condition and the greens were excellent. the range was useful to warm up and there was a good practice area. the three holes over the other side of the railway line were different to the rest of the course, although still a good knock. the far end of the course is tight and very difficult - a few blind shots especially when off line. I enjoyed the greens, quick and true. clubhouse was very nice and comfortable with a great welcome and a hearty breakfast - the drinks are cheap too - I would recommend this course to the mid handicapper and low. the high handicapper might struggle with the wind but its a beautiful walk.

Course conditions were superb, staff very friendly and welcoming. Rhys Harry, Club pro was extremely helpful in organising our stay in the Dormy house and our 2 rounds. Easy walk into beautiful town of Tenby.

2nd time at Tenby Golf. Classic links course, great greens and fantastic views. Was very quiet as only just come out of covid restrictions. If you do not know the course a ball spotted would be useful as there are a few blind shots, particularly on front 9.(1st & 4th). Once I put the driver away the it was a lot better. The par 3 12th is one of the best par 3's anywhere. The 9th tee has a fantastic view. If you are in the area and have golf clubs...play Tenby!

Great Golf-Great Vistas
Sep 2019
This is a very challenging course with holes that challenge virtually every shot. By the back nine, I clubbed down to my three metal for tee shots and it made a great difference. Scored better, only lost one ball. Clubhouse is classic, service is great and friendly. We were five yanks on a golf trip and this is one of 12 great courses we played.

All the South Wales courses suffered from a drought this summer, hard as that is to believe. Would like to play it again under better conditions. No caddies.

October Round
Oct 2019 • Solo
After the recent reviews was a bit sceptical but found very little issue with any of the course.
Played first thing on a sunny October morning with minimal wind. Nobody else on the course for the whole round.
Only charged £25 so good value.
I found the course how I would expect to find a links course in October after recent awful weather. Fairways fine and greens true. The rough only bad when you stray offline in which case you should be punished.
If I come back to Tenby I'd definitely play again

Very Poor Condition
Sep 2019 • Friends
Booked a round of golf for 4 of us whilst on holiday in Tenby.

Clubhouse welcome from friendly bar staff and breakfast was very nice.

Warm welcome from the Pro however he didn’t tell us how bad a condition the course was going to be in. I’ve heard a lot of good things about Tenby from friends who have played there. I was very disappointed with the standard of Fairways. Almost every fairway was bald in patches with lots of weeds growing. Speaking to a member he was saying that it was in good condition to what it has been like. I dread to think what it must have been like.

The greens and bunkers were very good though and it’s a serious test of you’re golf.
