Wide, super clean, dog friendly, sandy beach
Currently in Tenby for a week, staying at Penally Grange in a lovely rental. Visiting with my partner and our pooch. Visited South Beach as it’s doggy friendly. Parked at South Beach car park, right on the beach. South beach itself is very wide and low tide and a sand beach. Very wide at low tide with a shallow gradient. Very clean and really not busy. Facilities at the car park. It’s our favourite beach as dog friendly, easy to drive to, sandy and clean. Perfect!

    Lovely little beach
This beach was busy as we went on a Sunday, little food hut on the beach for Icecream and drinks, lifeguards on site so made swimming/paddling safe too. Little caves to explore too. Lovely little beach, we would have loved to go back on a slightly quieter day. Deckchair higher available and toilets a few mins walk away too which were 40p.

    Fun and beautiful beach
This beach is just next to the Centre of Tenby and we can combine a visit to shops and to get ice cream and fish and chips with visiting this beach. It’s a beautiful beach with a green/blue sea and clean sand and a rocky outcrop that is attached to Castle Beach. We had a fun walk on this beach, paddled in the sea and explored the caves. The day we visited the beach was so windy that our hats kept blowing off so we just made it a quick visit, but will definitely go back on a calmer day. The nearby North Beach was nowhere near as windy.

    Tenby's Best
Best beach in Tenby. Long beach with a very small section of dog ban on the eastern part. Has lifeguards and ice cream van in the high season. Saltys restaurant and snack bars on site as well.

A very safe and picturesque beach.
Even when the tide is in, there is a lot of clean golden sand here, and that tide is out, it is really spectacular. The sands , nearly 1.5 miles long, and backed by sand dunes. and some limited car parks. It is a beautiful place, and much appreaciated on sunny days. There is some facilities, including toilets, two cafes but little else.

We visited for the first time on a sailing holiday from Ireland. We walked from Pengally to Tenby along the waterline with our small dog. The walk was pleasant. The day was ruined when we where approached by an individual who did not identify himself as Council staff who issued us with a £75 fixed penalty notice for walking the dog even though we had passed no signs to say this was not allowed. Totally unreasonable! We will never be back to Tenby and have told our sailing colleagues to avoid it as well.

We love this beach. Beautiful sand for the kids to make their castle palaces. Ice cream van on beach driving up (slowly). Beach hut type thing at the top selling food items (recommend the chicken and avocado wrap). Parking is pretty cheap and public toilets are 40p (I think).

I was on this beach during my visit at about 8am every morning to take my dog for a walk.

At that time the beach is populated by a few other dog walkers, some runners availing, no doubt, of the extra workout afforded by the sandy terrain. Occasionally there are kite surfers who avail of the winds that blow along this Long Beach.

The mornings were a perfect time to walk and the sea air clear the cobwebs from your soul as the waves lap up to your feet.

The beach is accessed (nearest the town) from a long zig zag and fairly steep walkway that winds it was from just outside the town walls down to the beach. At the bottom, some holiday apartments occupy the prime beach location as the cove opens out before you. From here turn left for the cliffs which (on my every walk) were cut off from castle beach by the sea. To the right lies a wide, curving beach walk stretching for a few km of sandy and at times stony beach.

It’s a dog friendly beautiful windswept panoramic walk perfect for building an appetite for breakfast. Later in the day it fills up nicely with different beach visitors but for me it was the perfect choice for a morning walk. Enjoy

Amazing place👌👌 Sandy Beach. Very clean beach and whole Tenby. Water of the sea is Blue with lots of wild life. Lovely local people who greets you with smiles. Panoramic view of the sea. Food and drinks are simply amazing in lots of pubs and Restaurants. We simply fall in love with the place. Don’t need to go abroad while you can come to Tenby. Not pricey at all! Public services like car parks are very cheap and plenty of them everywhere. If you got the Sun out which we had, it is simply stunning place! I highly recommend it.

Great beach to visit with kids. A lot quieter at the bottom end away from the crowds. Park at penally station and walk in through the dunes. £5 all day to park.
Much quieter than the other beaches and dogs allowed all year round (didn’t bother us at all and we were there all day but appreciate some may not like the dogs being about. )
Take cash for the 4x4 ice cream truck what comes along after lunch!
Also walk the coastal path to the headland. It’s beautiful.

My favourite beach in Tenby, over a mile long, plenty of sand especially when the tide is out and still enough space when the tide is in. Great views out to sea, along the coast and out to the Gower peninsular on a clear day at one end and Caldey Island from the other. There's a restaurant and facilities at the town end and splendid isolation at the other.

Lovely beach and could easily spend a whole day here, or even half a day to walk the length of the beach and back.
Lifeguard on site and a restaurant with some vans too serving ice cream and a bar.
Unsure of the other facilities as we are just dog walkers and can't go wrong there.

This is a terrific beach. We were here in October so not so warm but it is still a great draw. The tide was out and we had a fabulous stroll along the shore. There are loads of stones, pebbles, rocks and shells to look at as well as the sea to see.
This beach is massive and is a boon for dog-walkers and children.

This beach is absolute massive. Lots of space for your children to play. The sea is lovely and clean and the beach is very clean. I did not see any rubbish or litter left on the beach on the number of times I visited
