My family and I booked a 2.5 hour paddleboarding session as an activity for our holiday in the area, and it was one of the highlights of our trip! Dan was very friendly and gave us clear instructions on how to paddleboard, and where to go, and once we got going we all really enjoyed it. The wetsuits provided were clean and very easy to put on, and kept us nice and warm.
We had such a great time that me, my dad and my brother also decided to book a coasteering session a few days later! Becky was excellent, very friendly and supportive, and she didn't force us to do anything we didn't want to do. We found we loved the coasteering even more than the paddleboarding, as the water was very flat, and the jumps were really exciting, and we even saw dolphins! The trip was very varied, as we moved a long way along the coast, explored some caves and did plenty of jumps of varying heights. At no point during the trip did one of us feel unsafe, as Becky was always telling us the best place to jump, and offering support while we found our footing on the rocks.
I cannot recommend Active Escape any higher, they provided us with the highlights of our holiday, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. We'll definitely be back if we are in the area again!

Visited here as a couple for our first time paddle boarding. We arrived with a group going coasteering so had to wait a little to get our wetsuits and life jackets fitted. Ben, the instructor was really friendly, polite and chatted away to us. We were shown from the top where we could go in the cove. Our wetsuits were in good condition and didn’t feel used. Extra measures were in place with cleaning and hygiene which was good. We were given a lesson, which really helpful and then left to our own devices for two hours. It is truly a beautiful location and paddle boarding was not as hard as it seems, apart from getting back onto the board ha!
My one and only gripe- when finishing our session we were bombarded with jet ski users. They caused the sea to be choppy, dangerous and scary. We were blocked from re entering the small cove to finish our session. I can only describe these people as hooligans and reckless. We spoke to the staff afterwards, who apologised but I feel the Watermouth Bay campsite should have sent management down to stop this from happening. No reflection on the paddle boarding company, poor effort from the campsite and I have since emailed their management to complain. As there was children on the water, there could have been a serious tragedy and it hampered our visit slightly. However we would love to come back again, so thanks!

As a family of 4, two forty-somethings, a 16 y/o and a 12 y/o, the youth have been costeering before with Scouts but a new venture for the parents who were a little concerned. It turns out that any concerns were totally unwarranted as we all had a fantastic time. The trip was led excellently by Dan and Joe who provided us with a lovely swim and clamber around the coast, such a beautiful location, and a lot of different jumps. I could not recommend this any more highly. Fantastic. Keep up the great work guys!

Fantastic morning coasteering around Watermouth with James as our guide. We were blessed with hot sun and calm, crystal clear waters but this would have been fun whatever the weather. The safety side of things was ticked off in a professional but relaxed manner and then the fun began. A nice combination of swims, climbs and jumps of varying sizes to suit all levels of confidence. My desire to jump from height was satisfied and James even managed to guide me through my first ever backflip in the ‘freestyle zone’. Stunning location, friendly professional team and an all round fantastic experience. I’m already plotting a return..

We went out kayaking as a family in 2 kayaks. Booking online was simple. Very laid back staff but the place runs very smoothly. It was busy so parking was tight and we parked down by Watermouth habour - but that was close to full as well - great liitle cafe there to call into after activity. The location was stunning and we thoroughly enjoyed our time calling in at tiny coves and squeezing the Kayaks through thin gaps and into caves. Would defintely recommend.

We booked the Party SUP for my daughter’s 21st birthday We were a mixed group of two families- on separate boards with broad spectrum of ages We all had a fantastic fun packed 3 hours Ben and Dan looked after us superbly.
If you are looking for an active challenging outdoor experience with lots of laughs you will love this.
There was something for everyone - coasteering,
Paddleboarding, treasure hunting,
beach activities cave exploring various competitions on the boards
Highly recommend professionally run operation

I booked a family Stand Up Paddleboard session with my wife and two sons (ages 14 and 10). The session was really well organised and we had clear, friendly training and advice from Dan. None of us had done this before, but it was very easy to get the hang of and we spent 2.5 fun hours exploring the nearby coves.
Very highly recommended!

We had a great time paddleboarding one cloudy afternoon in September. We were novices and slightly apprehensive but Dan gave us very clear guidance and accompanied the group out for the first 15 minutes and then checked on us throughout the 2-hour period.
Although we're very active, we're no spring chickens (55 and 66) but falling into the water and getting back on again didn't pose a problem.
We felt confident that all the appropriate measures had been taken regarding sanitising wetsuits etc.
We'd thoroughly recommend this - it was excellent value for money and a lot of fun.

25/7/20 today did Coastering with Becky from Active Escape at Watermouth Cove. Myself and my two daughters 16 & 14 had a great afternoon 3hrs if clambering around the rocks and jumping from some pretty high rocks into the sea. A brilliant day the girls throughly enjoyed it, Becky was an excellent guide who gave the right amount of encouragement whilst at the same time not pressuring you to do something you felt outside of your comfort zone. Glad to say we all completed it fully and felt a sense of accomplishment. Thank you Becky 5⭐️ We hope to see you again later in the week,

We had a fantastic afternoon coasteering and paddle-boarding off the Devon coast. Dan was an amazing guide, he made the experience fun and exciting whilst ensuring we felt safe at all times. It’s definitely a tiring activity and not for the feint-hearted but it’s an awesome experience in a spectacular setting. A must-do when staying in the area!

We are arriving Saturday 4th of August for one week, and have two boys age 13.
Is there a one day experience in water activity for them to do and if so what is involved and what price please.
Both are competent swimmers.

We have lots of activities available. Our minimum age is 11 so your boys will both be fine.
Our activities typically last 3 hours and cost £38 per person - SUP hire is slightly different as it lasts 2 1/2 hours and costs £25 per person (as your boys are 13 an adult would need to be on the water with them for SUP hire)
