This is a must for history lovers and ghost busters. We had a day out at Chambercome and found it fascinating the staff are lovely and also knowledgeable and have a real love for the place. We found the guided tour given so interesting and thoroughly enjoyed it with stories about the house and its ghosts. While in the front... More

Chambercombe Manor has a fascinating history spanning centuries. The guided tour offers really interesting insights, although the over-emphasis on it being a "haunted house" is disappointing, the place doesn't need that to sell itself. I would say however not to rely on the website for opening times, we recently visited specifically to have some lunch in the café having checked... More

A good place to visit if you fancy a relaxed potter but we didn't see any ghosts at the haunted manor! The staff are friendly and encourage you to take your time wandering through the house which was interesting. We enjoyed coffee and cake in the tea room afterwards.

We stayed at the manor for a family celebration. The cottage we stayed in was the Courtyard cottage. It had its own entrance and parking for two cars outside the gate and one car inside in the courtyard itself. The courtyard itself is a small private enclosed garden so our dog could be let out with out fear of her... More

We had a guided tour of this old haunted Manor House. What made the visit was the guide who was so informative and passionate about this very old house. Her knowledge was impeccable and was willing and encouraged you to ask all types of questions. The tour took approximately one hour and was so worth the extra few pounds than just the basic... This extremely old house is full of stories, ably told by our tour guide who was absolutely excellent. If you're staying in North Devon, this place is a must

A very spooky place to visit. The tour guide was amazing and it was awesome value for money. Our godchildren, 5 and 7, loved it and the guide made them feel just as included as the adults. I'm a bit of a non believer in ghosts etc but genuinely felt like something spooky was going on, and my partner smelt... More

Amazing history, superb guide, atmospheric . A wonderful afternoon , finishing with Coffee and Cake in the Cafe. Also attended a paranormal evening here. Superbly organised from start to finish. Some strange happenings, value for money. If you want an unusual evening out, this is the place to go.

We visited here after being recommended it and we did arrive too late for one of the tours which meant we were too early for the next one (just be careful as they seem to run every hour so try to turn up just before the hour!! And they finish at 3pm) however we did grab lunch in the tearoom.... More
