Disappointed to find the gates locked for our annual family and friends outing in Ilfracombe. We were a party of around 30 children and adults, and we're not the only disappointed souls at the gate, surprised to find them locked. We went down the harbour instead. Shame.

Such a shame as I have always wanted bro visit the tunnels beach but should have read the reviews first. It was a lovely October day but as soon as you exited the tunnel and onto the gravel it was so dark and eerie, and the natural pool was really scummy. We had to laugh as we had just paid... More

Tunnel Beaches is a little piece of tropical paradise in the South West. I had always dreamt of getting married by the sea and I was lucky to find this venue. We were very lucky with the weather and managed to have the ceremony and dinner outside (they do have a plan b in case it rains). All our guests... More

A waist of money just the sea and rocks don't understand why you should have to pay to go in the sea and sit on the rocks

We weren't sure what we were going to see, the tunnel is interesting as it's been hand carved but to be honest we were there a couple of minutes and paid for the privilege, I don't usually expect to pay to visit a beach and that's basically what we did, I suppose warmer weather would make your stay longer but... A great place for families with young children. There is a pool which gets covered at high tide but remains as a safe swimming/paddling pool when tide recedes. Good for snorkeling and rockpooling too. They even do weddings! There is a cafe, shop, toilets, changing facilities, what more could you want? Children love the exciting tunnel entrance. There is a... More
