It's a must see if you're in Ilfracombe. The pool is filled by the high tide and is good for paddling as well as swimming, despite being freezing. But the most enjoyable thing there is the fantastic rockpooling, children will love it but you wont be out of place if you're just interested by the beach creatures

If your into your history and can take the time to read a little about how these tunnels came about then definitely worth a visit. We went on an overcast, windy day but I would imagine on a sunny day, it would be great to visit both small beaches there as well. The views are lovely and the stories behind... More

This is well worth the visit. It is truly amazing how they hand carved the tunnels. The people doing this must have been so determined to complete it. It is only a few pound for entry but well worth it. We would definitely recommend it.

We were waiting for a day of good weather to visit this beach but, as this showed no sign of arriving, we went on a showery overcast July day. I absolutely adored everything about it and was longing for a swim (despite the grey, dim light of an English summer) but my two young children took a different view. The... More

Great for children as there are no waves. Lots of fun to be had exploring the rock pools at the lowest tide.

Looked at the wedding venue last week at tunnel beach. We we're amaze by the whole set up very professional service they offer. Can't wait to get married their. Just need to ask the love off my life first. (If she will marry me first)

A stunning location for a friend's wedding, happily blessed with good weather and an unscripted fly past and congratulatory waves from a coast guard helicopter and crew.

Quite informative and amusing. Helpful to go when tide is out and tide is in, to see the comparisons. Free toilets (very clean)

Didn't realise this was here. Walked through the tunnels to a beautiful setting of settled sea pools which made me feel like I was abroad. Nice clean toilets
