It's not only a beautiful, wide, sandy beach; it's also very convenient for parking, shops, toilets etc. This year we hired a beach hut for the first time and it turned out to be a great idea. The hut came with a couple of sun loungers, a windbreaker and a stove and kettle to make hot drinks. The hut was very practical for storing our belongings, sheltering from wind/sun and as a spacious changing room. We will definitely be hiring a beach hut from Steve's Beach next time we're on the IOW. While at Sandown Beach, we had a bit of an emergency and were lucky to have the lovely Steve there to offer his help and support. He remembers me every year which always amazes me, and he is so personable. Nothing is too much trouble and he will always help you out. The hut made our day so much easier and came with chairs. Steve and his wife were very helpful and accommodating. All the children had the best day. It’s a great idea for kids parties! The beach hut is well equipped with a kettle/table plenty of seating for the adults and loads of buckets and spades for the kids. Steve and Sammi make the hut so special by decorating it beautifully for the birthday. I can’t recommend it enough. We have used Steve’s beach huts today, we hired 10 sun loungers, a beach hit and 3 parasols. All were set up ready for us, as we booked them the day before. Nothing is too much trouble and a very friendly welcome. As soon as we left, the loungers and beach hut were sanitised. Steve also has a pressure washer in his van that he uses to jet wash everything at night. We have been returning to here for 8 years and wouldn’t use anyone else.

If you want amazing service with a smile everyday then Steve’s Beach is the place to be! A very clean beach and equipment that is very well presented.
Great prices, very polite and friendly people nothing is ever too much trouble and they will always give you a helping hand if needed.
There is even buckets and spades that children can use for FREE while they are on the beach!
Cannot recommend it highly enough we return year after year and they never fail we definitely would not go anywhere else.
They let you get settled before they take payment and aren’t pushy.
They also take card payment which is very helpful,
they have everything you could want and more!!

What a wonderful place on the beach! We paid £16 for 4 sun loungers with wind breakers in a prime location on the beautiful beach. The owners (a couple) could not have been nicer, offering to keep an eye on our things if we wanted to go in the sea. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience at Steve's Bech, Steve is a great guy who can't do enough for you. We hired a beach hut for 3 days which was just perfect, comes with 2 deck chairs, a kettle and stove and plenty of water, sunbeds are also available if you want them.
The icing on the cake was that Steve was happy for us to keep the hut even after he had gone home on our last day so it effectively gave us another day of holiday as we had a secure location to store our luggage after we had booked out of the hotel.
Thanks Steve, we'll be back.

We had a wonderful couple of days of relaxation. Impressed with Steve's attention to detail ensuring that all sunlougers were sanitized between customers. Steve was most helpful and reseved our space for the second day. Great beach will be back next year. Many thanks Steve from the bacon butty gang.

We had a lovely day at Steve's beach. Steve and Bryan are so friendly and welcoming, we called ahead and reserved a beach hut and it was worth every penny. We paid £25 for the day, were able to park right next to it as we arrived early and felt really safe. The huts are close together but they weren't all being used due to distancing, and each family were separated by a windbreaker. We had hut 6 on the end and had loads of room Infront. As soon as people left Bryan was clearing up and clearing. The hut we had came with three topped deckchairs, some water and a little electric stove plus kettle. We didn't use it but if you were tea drinkers it would be fab. The area is cordoned off so you know you won't have people walking close to you and it was a short walk to the sea. The best thing was being able to change before leaving in the hut, plus of course being able to escape the sun if you wanted and keep things cool. Cannot recommend highly enough. £5 for loungers, £4 for deckchairs, £3 for parasols, £3 for windbreakers and you can hire beach huts for £25 a day.
Perfectly places near cafes and amenities on soft, golden sand the chairs and loungers are already set out for you when you arrive. The staff are friendly and you can pay by card.
The only problem is you are charged for a wind break even if you don’t want or need one.

Absolutely amazing people! Could not do enough to make our 2 days on the beach first class. Beautiful beach and very close to restaurants, beach shop, ice cream shops and toilets. We had 3 sun loungers on the first day which were sectioned of with windbreakers which gave you a sense of your own space and privacy and on the second day we were lucky enough to get a beach hut, if they have availability I would definitely recommend getting one, your own castle on the beach which gives you a place to cool down, eat or rest for little ones. Amazing location and lovely owner’s, we will definitely be back.

100% Recommend! Such a lovely experience for a day out at the beach! Steve and Fran went above and beyond to make it nice for my young ones first birthday 🎂 beautifully presented and all buckets and spades provided. It was great for everyone!
The extra touches put smiles on everybody's faces, they provided drinks, balloons and banners/flag!
My favourite was the number 1 banner which we was given to keep and photo taken of the day to treasure as a memory!
Friendly service and good price! If you want a beach day! Do it... rent one of these!

Steve's Beach is the best beach on the Island, it's clean and beautiful views of the bag. There were lots of sun loungers and umbrellas available on the beach and they were regularly steralised after each use. We arrived to the beach early afternoon after travelling all day on a hot sunny day, on arrival to the beach the weather went a bit cloudy, Steve felt sorry for us so said we can have the loungers/umbrella for free for the rest of the week - what a lovely gesture - there is nowhere else that would give such a kind offer, so I had a week's worth of sunloungers/umbrella for only £10. Thanks Steve, see you next year.

Just head down to the beach near the Sandown pier. There’s a fair bit of parking on the front but you’d have to be early. The guys walk along the beach taking the money for beds and umbrellas etc. I’m sure they would be able to help. Look for beds with the shades on top.
