I absolutely loved loved loved this experience. Seeing the Lions so close was really beautiful. I will most definitely go back and next time I will go in a private car for the whole day. By the time we went, the weather was hot and so the Lions were basking in the sun and so didn’t see much movement. But I’m definitely going back again.

What an experience!! We have visited many times but this time was truly special. I would like to personally name our game driver, Dusty, she deserves a special mention, she honestly went above and beyond to make our game drive unique and special. Even calling my 7 year old by name and including him in all discussions. We will be back!!

This place is essentially a zoo. Lions, cheetahs, hyenas and Leopards kept in very cramped conditions. One of the guys who supposedly looks after the lions (Alex) was trying to tell us that most lions he sees in the wild aren’t as happy as those kept in captivity and that lions don’t require loads of space as they aren’t runners, attempting to justify how those lions are kept……pull the other one! Kept spraying the lions in the face with a training aid as well (which he tried to pass off as a parasite spray), not the end of the world perhaps but to me it’s just not how lions should be kept at all. The giraffes are fed by the guests……fed crisps can you believe. Leopards enclosure was the worst of all, very small and desolate, and we were informed that the few trees the poor leopards did have were being cut down so that guests could easily view them, couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I naively didn’t quite realise what I was contributing financially towards prior to my visit, thought it was a safari, the kind I’ve seen at Pilanasberg……trust me, it’s far from that. It’s places like this that need shutting down!

Do not support this establishment as they are involved with a business that is involved with Canned lion hunting. If you’re not sure what canned lion hunting is, Google it and you will be disgusted

Good Day 980rodc,
We never send our lions to hunters, all lions in our care will stay on our property, they are micro-chipped and can be traced throughout their lives until they die of natural causes, the majority of our lions are vasectomised to minimise breeding, we will strive to ensure that the welfare of our animals is of the highest standard. Our lions are healthier and bigger in size than lions in the wild, in fact, they live almost twice as long.
Kind Regards,
Lion & Safari Park Team

We visited the tour with our 1 year old and found it memorable. You can buy food and feed giraffes up close at the place. We did an hour Safari Tour with Matilda as our guide. Informative, insightful and very welcoming and open to questions. We had fun with her. The hour's tour costed R285 per adult and didn't pay for our little one. The tours have dedicated timeslots and the last one departs at 4pm.
There are two restaurants on-site to grab a bite either before or after the Safari tour. There is an option to do the tour as self-drives.

My favorite escape place, the calm and peace of sitting by the restaurant looking over the animals and watching people feed the giraffe

We did the self-drive safari and had a good time. I would recommend this park for people with kids of all ages. We had to rush a little bit to get back to one the lion's enclosures for the feeding but it was pretty neat. My 2 and 4-year-old had a really good time. We were able to get within a few feet of the lions, cheetahs, zebras, and giraffes while on the drive.
When we got back after the safari, we went and fed a giraffe (you can buy feed in one of the stores) and went on the playground where my kids had a blast. We did not eat there and did not go to the animal exhibit past the playground.
If you cannot go to somewhere like Pilanesberg National Park, I would recommend this place.

We went on a self drive. We bought tickets beforehand so we only had to show it on our phone and drive on right away. The predators are in enclosures. You can see them from up close. Which is amazing to see. The big loop drive with the giraffe, antilope, oryx etc was most impressive to me!
If you have the time visit this place for sure :)

Great place to see wildlife not far from Joburg city. We drove out with our family and young kids and we had a good time. Friendly knowledgeable staff, very clean facilities.
We got to see lion, cheetahs, hyenas, leopards and others up close and they are beautiful. It not as nice as seeing them out in the wild, but this place works for those who are in Joburg and don’t have time to go out on a safari.
Very kid friendly

Obrigado!

Ciao a tutti. Grazie

Hi
No when you enter the park you pay for what you want to do. the best way to travel around Johannesburg is per taxi. Every hotel has taxi services that they can book. Make sure you travel safe!!

Aposentados pagam metade
O parque oferece bastante atração , o ideias seria ver no site mesmo
