We stayed just up the road from Cove Harbour. Wigwam Holidays @ Cove Farm. The Wigwam itself was nice, very small but that was expected. Weather wasn't on our side so it wasn't great and if it had been sunny I think it would have been a lot better. We stayed in the very top Wigwam and had to get a wee trolley to take our stuff up, pretty rubbish you can't take the car up, would be much easier. There is nothing on site to do, closest place for food/drinks is Dunbar. We did get a takeaway one night which was a good option to have. We had to go through to St Abbs and Eyemouth during the day for something to do as it was very boring at the wigwam, and the hot tub isn't one with the jets in it, so you are basically just in a big tub of hot water which we didn't like either. Fridge was tiny so don't buy a lot of food or it'll just go to waste. TV didn't work (even tho they say on their website you can use it for Netflix or DVDs) Overall it was average, wouldn't book it again but it wasn't the worst. If you are planning on going, and taking kids make sure you have plenty to do to entertain yourself as there is nothing there!!

In the seventeenth century the locals dug a tunnel to Cove harbour and that's how you still access it nearly four hundred years on. The tide ebbs and flows and there is an air of enchantment and history. Go there for a picnic on a nice day. No one else bothers. No shops, no pub, no loo. Three houses. And the North Sea. If you catch the tide right the boats might sell you a crab or a lobster.....
Be careful if you walk Pease Bay to the north. The tide comes in fast and it can be rough so the rocks get slippy. Telecom coverage is poor.... take care.
And now for the request. Have a care. Please respect this place. Take your rubbish and dogsh#t with you and treat it as though you were guests in someone else's home. Which it is.....

Absolutely and astonishing place to visit, didn't even know about it until a barman had mentioned it so next day we went down and we were not disappointed would definitely recommend a visit if you're nearby!

Going to the cove was a big deal for my family and it did not disappoint! Excellent views of the water and very picturesque. We got lucky and were able to talk with some local fisherman, who were kind. It's a bit of a walk to get down to the cove but it is worth it,

A sense of being transported back in time was the overwhelming feeling from the visit. Parking in the car park with its old barometer and new memorial to those lost in the disaster of 1881, the harbour is hidden entirely from view. Walk down the wide 'road' down to the sea passing (or using) the old tunnel through the cliffs to the beach and you get a fantastic, unexpected view of the tiny, romantic harbour, still used for fishing boats. Great secluded beach.

Nice cove and visit to the small harbor of cockburnspath. Be aware that it is not touristic and you have to walk thru a cove to reach the beach. It is a nice small beach with a small harbor. The ter is clear and with low water you can see how the earth has been moving thru out the years.

Cove was a beautiful little spot to explore with the family consisting of both young children and adults. Adventures were found in caves, on rock walls, in small rock pools and of course in the sand! We loved it!

A lovely, unspoilt view. A short walk down to the beautiful harbour. The little tunnel is an added bonus to the adventure of visiting this tranquil haven. It was an overcast day, but still magical. We will return.

This aptly named little harbour is magical and awe inspiring with a tunnel and caves and sand and sea and boats and all the of the things that make you want to be 10 again. Now it is not easy to get to and quite a wee climb back up to the little car park but so worth the effort. It is mostly deserted apart from a fisherman or two so you can really explore at your leisure it is a must for kids........of any age. Please go see.

From the main road, follow the signpost to 'cove'. There's a car park you can't miss. Go through the kissing gate heading down to the sea, then you'll see the tunnel on your right as you walk down.

How long does it take to walk through the tunnel to get to the harbour
Written May 26, 2018
About a minute, it’s short, if it’s dusk you may want a torch or small light as it gets dark midway

Dunbar, perhaps the Rocks? Great food, real wood fires.

Direction to get there from Seton Sands

Get on to the A1 South. Past Dunbar and the Torness Nuclear Power station. At the next roundabout, take the second exit. Go through Cove itself and there is a car park at the end. The path down to the harbour is just opposite.

Can I launch a small fishing boat from the harbour ,and if whom do I contact for access.
Written June 12, 2016
Sorry, I'm not sure. If you contact Tourist Information in East Lothian they should be able to give you the answer.
