We caught the Greyhound Flexibus from Vancouver to Seattle for the experience. It will never happen again. If I could give a quarter (1/4) rating for the experience this would be all they would get. Pacific Central, Vancouver is a great place to board a bus, but the free Wi-Fi, does not work. Because we were international travellers, our carry on baggage was too large to carry onto the bus. The male bus driver (who was training the new female bus driver) was rude, arrogant and a pig. Which didn't blend well with me, because I continued to challenge him. However, the result was, if we paid him $20 cash/carry-on directly, he would put them into the luggage compartment. The seatbelts on the bus were not functioning on more than half the seats and the foot rests were missing from the back half of the bus. Seattle Bus Depot - was closed when we arrived. There were no ride share operators or taxi's. The female bus driver did try to assist with a ride, however, this was abandoned as they needed to depart the depot. The depot is also in an industrial area of Seattle and deserted after 5pm. There is a light rail station about 150m down the road, but not ideal when you arrive in a new city and have luggage. We were lucky that a taxi driver spotted us and turned around to take us to our hotel. In the more than 30 minutes we stood at the depot, no ride share/taxi's passed us.

This is absolute hell. Go ahead and buy a Red Coach ticket because Greyhound shouldn’t even be an option. I don’t know how they’re still doing business. First you’ll get a 102 min delay, then it gets pushed back and forth for two hours. Then you’ll end up missing the bus because they actually got there EARLIER than the expected delays. And of course, you can’t receive a refund because it wasn’t 120 mins delayed, “as stated in their policy”. Customer satisfaction should be in the policy! Bus ride back was just as terrible, we got on the bus then got kicked off for an hour. Got to stand in the station with no ac or seating. And they also don’t give any explanation as to why there’s delays, why you’re being kicked off the bus for an hour, or why you can’t be given a refund. Save your sanity.

Greyhound Bus has no rules. Each driver of a bus has their own set of rules. The stations are drug environment. DO NOT pay for your bags, they don't even check it or care that you have a tag or not. Anyone can grab your bag out, so make sure you keep an eye out. Seating is not required as everyone sits where ever they want, not where they were placed. At the actual stations, People look more like druggies than actual passengers. The old Greyhound was good, this new one is not so good. Department of Transportation should look into this. Not checking bags is a dangerous concept. The website has the old way how to book. My tip is buy cheap rides, expect cheap/ ghetto environment and hold your breathe of constant degrading of services. Dont even both about customer service 🙄

Completely traumatized by my 1st long distance 24 hr bus ride thanks to Greyhound and it's drivers. After calling in advance to confirm accommodation process with Greyhound's disability line, purchasing my tickets, then calling them back per their instructions with my booking number to advise them of needing help to load and unload my walker and suitcase and needing a disabled seat in the front of the bus I received ZERO assistance on my trip and had to find an open seat near the middle and rear of the bus. I asked the driver for assistance as I was instructed to do by customer service and the driver told me to just load my stuff and sit anywhere. He didn't even help get my stuff off the bus and I had to semi crawl in to get my walker which was broken by people throwing their luggage on top of my walker. I'm fearful of my trip home next week being a 55 yr old disabled female traveling alone.

Passenger was at the Bus Stop on time, and asked another bus driver if that was their bus and told them the location that they were going. They said yes, so passenger went on the line, until the driver had said "Oh no, that bus had already left. We're going to a different destination." so, passenger had called Greyhound to ask if they can refund her money, since she did not know if the bus had left early or not. Apparently, they had waited an extra 5 minutes before they had left, but passenger did not see any busses leave after the departure time. The Greyhound's employee told passenger on the phone, that they had a no refund policy for that circumstance. Greyhound is a Rip Off, if you're trying to go to a gambling place like a "Casino" try using Greyhound.

I left Charlotte NC 02/21/2025 going to Albany Georgia. The seats were extra small, babies crying all night and some passengers snoring ridiculously loud but I expected that unfortunately. On my way back to Charlotte my bus left at 8:30pm. It was on time. My ticket said I'll have a 55 minute delay in Atlanta. When we arrived in Atlanta there were several buses already there. I knew I had a 55 minute layover so I exited the bus and got luggage and went and had a seat inside the bus station. Come to find out 10 minutes before the bus is scheduled to leave that announcements were made for my bus to board when I was waiting to get my luggage from the bus I just got off. The bus was still at the station and I was asking to board and the security guard told me no that the bus was already locked down. I was extremely angry and to make things worse I had to sit at the station from 11:30pm to 5:00 am by myself until the next bus arrives. I will never recommend Greyhound Bus to anyone. I asked for a refund considering my layover was way more than 2hrs and I received a email denying it. It's sad and awful and never again will I travel Greyhound.

If I could give this company a zero rating I would! My son was traveling from school in Atlanta Home to take family pictures at church in Birmingham, and arrived on time. However, the bus honked three times and drove past him, and would not grant him access to the bus. I called for a refund and was told that I could only qualify for a refund 15 minutes prior to departure, and I would not get a refund on the departure, but I can get one on the return trip. However, the refund was issued at 50% voucher only! So, out of $76, I only received a voucher credit of $14! What a damn scam! Find another way!!!

Worst bus station ever!! Don’t do it!! The buses leave before their actual departure time. They make u pay $15 in order to get a refund. Which is contradictory. The employees & security guards are unprofessional & rude.

Greyhound was taken over by FlixBus. Please keep this in mind. I have not had a good first experience with Greyhound. It all started at 2:20 pm on June 28th 2024. The bus was delayed to 3:10 pm on the tracking app. The 3:10 delay time was on the tracking link for almost a complete hour. We entered the bus at around 4:05 pm (a further delay) with no air conditioning from Wichita, KS until we made it to Kansas City at 7:54 pm. We finally received ac once we got back around 8:30 pm. I made several calls to customer service asking for a Supervisor. Two customer service reps said ok & disconnected the call, instead of connecting me to a supervisor. I never spoke to a Supervisor. One customer service rep told me that the 11:25 pm connecting bus, which came earlier 11:12 pm, would be missed due to our 12:30 am time. I was told that there was a connecting alternative bus at 12:30 am, making my arrival time in Chicago being around 10:30 am instead of the 5:35 am arrival time in Chicago. Then I called again for a new connection bus & I was told I needed to take the 1:30 am bus going toward Chicago. My partner, Darius & I, had to get a hotel after finding out that there was actually a bus departure at 12:01 pm to Chicago or a 1:30 pm bus to Chicago on 12/29/2024. We need a refund. This delay has caused us to have to get a hotel, that the last rep I spoke with told me you all reimburse up to $80 for. The young lady customer service representative also asked to speak to the manager on duty to ask the manager at the station to accommodate a hotel reservation. There was a gun shooting a block away from the St Louis Greyhound/ Amtrak station. We booked a hotel for the night and checked in at around 2:30 am in a safe neighborhood. The hotel accommodated me for the $75 less than what I’ve given to GH. I also paid around $52 for Lyft rides to and from the hotel. All of costs that incurred due to the bus delay & our safety needs. I’m very disappointed. I did not inconvenience myself so 10% seems more like a punishment & disregard than an accommodation.

Philadelphia-New York 9:20am October 31st The greyhound "station" on Spring Garden St is a travesty. Everything was extremely disorganised, you couldn't even tell where exactly you're supposed to wait for which bus (the answer is: under a random overpass, an area which smelled strongly of urine). A crude handwritten sign just said "Greyhound". Obviously, there was no seating, etc. The bus showed up on time, but the driver for this route turned out completely insane - once we set out, she would occasionally announce loudly into the microphone "Lower your voices in the back!", while absolutely no one was talking, only one person in the back was sleeping, and the entire bus was extremely quiet. She made this announcement several times, clearly she was hearing loud voices. Of course, the wifi on bus wasn't working, but that's not even so important in the grand scheme of things. Once we got into midtown Manhattan, the driver basically just let us off in the middle of some random street. Luckily, we didn't have any luggage under the bus, so were able to just jump out and be on our way. Not sure how other passengers faired, getting their luggage in the middle of a Manhattan street full of traffic. On the whole, it was a really bizarre experience, but at least the driver got us there alive.

I took a night trip, initially scheduled for 12:01 a.m. which was a little over 2 hours late following a bus breakdown and the time to go find another one. Please note, you will not be refunded (or voucher) if you decide to take the bus anyway (I asked after-sales service). You are only refunded if you decide not to take it. Otherwise the bus was quite clean, comfortable and there is an electrical outlet for charging your phone. The downside of the night bus is that night stops can wake you up, and stopping at the border requires you to get off. Even if it is the cheapest transport to go from New York to Montreal, I recommend testing Trailways bus which, even if a little more expensive, seems more comfortable and reliable according to reviews. Good road !

I've been struggling with greyhound for three days now. My bus was late and caused me to miss my connecting bus. The customer service over the phone was polite but didn't seem to care about the fact I had to spend hundreds of dollars for a hotel room sinc3 the next bus leaving newark to nyc wouldn't arrive for about 20 hours. The bus they then assigned me to had me backtracking about 6 hours to get to nyc..which is only 20 minutes from Newark,NJ. As i was waiting for that bus, another bus arrived at my stop and it was en route to nyc. The driver was very nice, listened to my story, and allow3d me on the bus. From there, I had to wait I'm nyc for 20 hours for my assigned bus to Atlanta to arrive. While at nyc I discovered there were 3 other buses going to Atlanta. They were unwilling to reroute me at the desk or over the phone. But most drivers, if there was enough seats, would let me on the bus anyways. It's not uncommon for these things to happen, my advice would b3 to fly. If you approach their employees calmly and respectfully they are likely to sympathize with your situation. But their system will not allow a second reroute once you get stranded somewhere. Missing my bus had everything to do with the weather. But you're taking a chance when riding a bus, I've talked to many people that had been delayed in their travel by several days. If this happens to you, the key is to remain respectful to the folks that work for greyhound and many of them will help you if they can, even though their system doesn't allow it. It makes no sense to wait 24 hours at a sketchy bus stop for your assigned bus when there are several more going to the same place before .
When you buy a ticket, make sure there's ay least an hour between bus changes so there's less of a chance of your connecting bus leaving you behind.

I wrote this to give praise to the assistant manager on the day shift in Atlanta. Her name started w a k. She went out of her way to help me so I didn't hav4 to wait yet another 20 hours for my assigned bus when there were 3 others before mine going to the same place.

People like that restored my faith In greyhound and prevented losing a frequent customer. Thank you!

I would give 0 stars if I could. The customer service is horrendous. Our bus left 30 minutes before the scheduled departure time with NO NOTICE given to anyone. We then had to book and pay for an entirely new ticket. Greyhound told us it was our fault that our bus left early, and refused to refund us for our trip. After we contacted customer service (by the way, they don’t have a phone number so you can only reach them through Facebook), they cancelled the return portion of our round trip ticket without telling us and instead gave us a VOUCHER to use for our next trip with them. Now that we were stranded in NYC, NY, we had no choice but to use the voucher to book another return trip to Boston, MA. We paid significantly more than we originally did because they cancelled our ticket that we bought a month in advance. Then, it got even worse. Our 4pm bus didn’t arrive until 4:35pm, and passengers didn’t get on the bus until 4:45pm. Our original arrival time was 8:20pm, but then became 10:15pm. During our trip, our driver stopped not once but twice to take smoke and bathroom breaks for himself. The outlets on the bus didn’t work, and the “free wifi” doesn’t actually let you do anything. The seats are SO uncomfortable, and it was really just an atrocious 5+ hour trip that was only supposed to be barely 4 hours. Never booking with Greyhound/FlixBus AGAIN, and I suggest you don’t either.

This is my first solo round trip from Boston South Station to New York Port Authority. Firstly there is no notification on any update of the bus. I have scheduled a bus departing at 9:30 in Boston and the staff told me that the itinerary get updated to 9am. I have further confirmed that no email notification is sent related to this change. Fortunately the staff is useful and get me to the next bus at 1215 efficiently. Secondly, when I return from New York GW Bridge to Boston, my bus get delayed for 3 hours. After I have waited for an additional 3 hours in the bus terminus, the bus still hasn’t come. Then, I have changed my ticket to 1235am at port authority. Unfortunately, after waiting for whole 2 hours, the bus get cancelled and I have to stay in the bus terminus overnight for the next bus at 5am. Most importantly, the second bus travelled has no Wi-Fi available and the charging port is not functionally. All to all, the experience is really bad and no one can tell what time will the bus arrived. I would suggest Greyhound to travellers who are willing to wait for a bus for more than 7 hours without being notified the updated information.

My friends and I had a trip scheduled for 10:55am and we had arrived on time to board our bus. However, minutes went by after 10:55am and the was still had not arrived. I had to go inside their office and ask when the bus was arriving and they told me that the bus was going to be 2 hours late. They had notified none of us that the bus was going to be late until I actually had to go in and ask, which left many other passengers for the 10:55am bus confused because they did not know what was going on. 4 Hours ended up passing by and I went in again to ask if there were any updates on the bus and they told me it had arrived and left 5 minutes ago, but the bus was a BOLT bus instead of a Greyhound bus. My ticket specifically said a Greyhound bus, not a BOLT bus that would be under Greyhound . We ended up cancelling the trip and could only get a refund for our round trip back with a $45 cancellation fee. To add onto this one of my friends at the destination we were supposed to be going to had their bus trip back home canceled 10 minutes before, so now he is currently trying to find a way back home which is 5 hours away. Don’t book a trip with Greyhound because they are completely irresponsible with notifying their passengers of delays or any clarifications, and if you do plan a trip with them be prepared to possibly have to find another way to your destination.

Scheduled to Arrive early in the morning at 5 am, not surprising it delayed by 1 hour and 30mins. So I call another Uber to head home with my girlfriend, I check again at 6 o'clock am. And greyhound updates again saying it left at 5:18am. My girlfriend completely missed her class because of it.

Of course I can't get in contact with an actual human in customer service, not like it would've mattered. They don't refund you, all they do is give you 10 percent off your next purchase. Not the first, second, third or 4th time something like this happened, last time they cancelled all together. It's really just not worth it. I wish I could rate this a zero.

Terrible service. We took a ticket from NYC to Philadelphia at 8:45 AM, the driver never arrived. The passengers who had a 10 AM ticket were able to take a bus and leave, and all of us were left waiting because we did not have the 10 AM ticket. I called "customer service" to change my ticket to the 11 AM shift (so that it wouldn't happen again, since there was still no news from the 8:45 driver) and in the terminal no one knew anything and also to modify the ticket They wanted us to pay $ extra.
I've been waiting for the 11AM bus for an hour, the driver is there but not the bus!! The bus that is here does not have air conditioning and has engine problems. A disaster!!! For the tourist whose days and hours are numbered, it is a shame. Furthermore, no one takes charge, no one came to give an answer, I had to call and still they gave no solutions. A disaster. Lost day.

Trip from Springfield, MA heading to Boston, MA , scheduled to leave at 12:50p. Waited around util approx 1:10 and called customer service, was informed the bus left at 1:24...26 minutes early! No explanation or reason could be given as to why the bus left almost 30 mins early. I have been riding buses for a very long time and have never heard a bus leaving almost 30 mins early. Was rebooked on next bus out, leaving at 2pm. Within minutes of being booked on this new trip i got a notification the trip was delays until 2:55pm. Went out to the gate at approx 2:45 and saw a greyhound bus approach. This was the only greyhound bus I had seen since arriving at the terminal around 12:30pm. This bus pulled into the driveway/parking lot, drove directly to the exit, pulled onto the road and kept on going. It never stopped at a gate, barely even slowed down before pulling back onto the road. When I called customer service they told me i missed the bs and the only thing they could do was rebook me on the next bus. Requested a refund and only message i get back is that there is nor record of the trip being delayed over 2 hours or cancelled and i do not qualify. Bottom line this is a horrible company to do business with. tickets may be priced lower but you will end up paying for it in time and aggravation. STAY AWAY!!!

I travelled from Nashville to Atlanta. As others have said, if I could give less than one star I would. The night before I was due to travel I got an email from Greyhound to say they had modified my booking and cancelled my seat reservations. No refund was provided and I had to pay again to ensure I had a seat. Then I got an email to say the bus was severely delayed, first for 6 hours then 12 hours, then it went back to being on time all within less than 30 minutes.

When I arrived at the bus station it was chaos, one security person and bus drivers just shouting at people. No Greyhound staff available to ask advice about a refund or whether the bus was on time. At this point it was showing that the bus had departed 3 hours early. It was an absolute shambles. Eventually we did board on time but the coach was scruffy and old, not what I was expecting at all. We got to Atlanta an hour late and the bus driver blamed people sitting in the wrong seats for the delay.

I’m still trying to get my money back for my cancelled seat reservations which Greyhound cancelled not me, worst customer service ever. Do not travel by Greyhound bus, my whole experience has been awful and very disappointing. Be aware Greyhound may keep your money if they make changes to your booking. Not the affordable and reliable service they say they are!

We were a party of four and payed extra for assigned seats which never happened, the ticket agent messed up and we went to Atlantic City and the bus was supposed to leave at 7:50pm and it showed up at 10pm and we didn't have the assignment for seats we paid for and it was the last bus of the day and left us stranded until the morning at the Caesar hotel bus waiting area, we could not afford a hotel after paying $400 for four people and they still left us behind!!!!
We called customer service and no one had an answer, not even the hotel desk where it says bus info!!!
